Hey everyone,

This is my self-nomination for the LBI governance team.

Honestly, I feel a bit shy about 'selling myself' because I don't feel that comfortable talking about my merits, I try to be one of those human beings who try to force himself about 'doing' instead of 'thinking about doing'.

However, this is somewhat necessary as I'm 'applying' for a responsibility position into the LBI team.

Let's talk a bit about my Background & Vision:

Even if it seems that this account has been created in mid-2019, the truth is that I've been involved with Hive (formerly Steem) since October 2017.

I struggled like everyone during the bear market and after a lot of ups and downs as a crypto trader, I got 'lucky' to be here at the right time. Managed to receive the initial LEO airdrop and I've been stacking ever since.

BUIDL BUIDL BUIDL!

I think I'm one of those users who doesn't need to say that 'believes in LEO's future', as I've been there in the darkest possible times for the chain and I keep accumulating whenever I can. I'll let my stake to talk about my commitment to the LeoFinance success.

At the time of writing, I'm holding:

  • 70.000 LEO making me the #10 top individual holder of the token.
  • 10.000 LEOM making me the #5 top individual holder of the normal miners.
  • ~4500 LBI tokens (purchased 3,5K today & waiting for the LBI transfer), you can read my battle against the market maker here.

Recently & since a few months ago, I've been thinking about a plan to launch my own token, linked to trading profits, but I'm very busy lately with a lot of things and I keep postponing this idea one time and another.

A few days ago or so, I made a 'click' in my head. As a 'whale' I could easily be an 'LBI in my own terms' since my stake here is very big and I'm generating over 500 LEO/week only from curation/mining... but then I thought about the 'dilution of work problem'.

¿The 'Dilution' Problem?

Imagine a decentralized network with decentralized governance. then imagine a tug war of epic proportions. Now imagine people trying to carry that network into 1000 different directions.

Such a mess right? This is what's happening right now with HIVE. And itself it isn't a bad thing If you ask me, is... 'what it must be'.

Because our base layer is something very important and we already accomplished the hardest thing: the foundation.

With LeoFinance happens exactly the contrary. Currently, the project is led by khaleel & team who did (and they're doing) a stellar work pushing LeoFinance ahead.

This is great, but it's also a delicate attack vector. Do somebody remembers the first hours after the WLEO hack in discord? We weren't able to do nothing rather than wait for Khal to wake up. Long and painfully hours...

Which opens the debate for the future decentralization of LeoFinance (currently being worked on, details TBA).

Sorry, I'm going round in circles.

My point is, 1+1 = 3

Instead of trying to launch my own product and get a 0,3 score; I think it's wiser to allocate my resources & efforts into LBI (which already has a score of 5) to get a overall score of 6.

Yes, because synergies matter.

'Walk alone and you'll go fast, walk together and you'll go further'.

Remember how SPI started snowballing and where it is now? LBI is another 'consequence' of that snowballing success, and as such, I want to be in.

Imagine 'Leo-Backed Investments' as a decentralized DAO operated by all their token holders. How that machine will be able to boost the community engagement and act somewhat (and once it grows more & more) as a decentralized Venture Fund powered by LEO and securing everything with HIVE in the base layer.

All the funds shared between 5-10 multi-sig wallets, with emerging governance teams & subteams for content production, project analysis, investing & risk management, curation, gaming... etc.

The possibilities are endless and we still don't know (we can't) where we'll be headed, but...

I want to help with what I can. Vote for me If you think that I would be a suitable addition to the LBI governance team.

Have a nice day, and thanks for reading.

EDIT: glad to see that we have more nominations coming ( at time of writing)! Shoutout to @scooter77, @bozz, @alexvan & @partitura for stepping in! Good luck everyone.
