The cryptosphere has taught us to be weary of pumps. and as such a lot of the excitement on the Hive chain seems 'measured' - especially by old guards who were here during steem's almighty pump back in 2017/2018.

The reaction appears to be a mixed feeling of 'relaxed' and 'tensioned' by the old guards who have seen it all when it comes to market forces in the crypto space. That is not to say that excitement isn't being generated, it just comes with a bit of maturity in terms of perspective with regards to this pump.

For instance, there are a lot more questions being asked around this time. Some of the most frequent questions I have come across are:

where the pump is coming from/what is causing it?

how sustainable it is/how long it will last?

What are the best lines of action to profit?

What are the best lines of action to grow on the platform?

A bit of what I call 'wild excitement' is largely coming from either the newer guys or those who are die-hard believers in the 'true value' of Hive. In hindsight we are all believers, but seeking caution does not mean our beliefs are invalid.

A Sign of Maturity

I would say us asking more questions than answers at this stage is one of the biggest evidence to how much we have progressed and evolved since the days of steemit. A bull run is no doubt a positive thing, but ensuring we are pumping for all the right reasons enable us plan properly for the best line of action with our Hive assets.

Another big sign is that even the Newbies appear focused on deepening their stake within the community. This is an improvement from the steem bull run when people merely talked about living off steem (a few quit their jobs) they earned while blogging. We have all seen the light it seems, and staking is the way.

Winter is Coming?

Of course with a massive pump the possibility of a significant correction is also there. A lot of users have speculated about when this will happen and what the value will be. However more important to others is what best line of action needs to be taken to profit from this correction. Even if the dip is worse than anticipated, the chain has matured to the extent where several options have been provided for ensuring we don't go red along with the dip.

Be it selling high and buying low, taking advantage of Leofinace in terms of advise and projects on offer or just simply accumulating Hive, this bull should leave us in a better position for the future.
