Evolution is part of life and we see it in every area from our technology to social lives, business to even our physiological features as human beings. Blockchain technology is still new and is in the process of rapid evolution in order to suite the demands of a new financial system where it will be a major player.

Despite the awareness and acceptance so far, we definitely have a long way to go before we can claim to truly have an acceptable technology that meets the vast majority of user needs. In the process of evolution though, there will be a lot of failures and fallouts. It therefore shouldn't come as a surprise when we see some projects fail outright like we did some weeks ago.

For a space that evolves the way this does, it requires projects and investors alike to have a 'leap of faith' that they won't be caught up in the negative effects of evolution. This means that everyone that invests in crypto now is simply taking a chance, albeit a calculated one in this regard. We are all gambler as to were, as there is always the risk of failure at the back of every mind.

But to truly evolve it is necessary to have those who are willing to forge ahead despite the dangers. The coming of big time institutional investors in BTC further buttressed my point as it enabled us to realize the long term holding capacity of BTC and crypto in general. Without big time players there probably would not have been the tons of small timers that followed suite, with each one knowing the risks of investing.

The type of gambling am talking about with crypto isn't the one propelled by greed as we have often seen even in this space. Rather, it is propelled by the possibility of building something remarkable while being aware of the potential to fail. Greed driven investing is different and is more or less propelled by quick and huge returns. More often it ends badly.

We need a lot more people willing to take a chance and evolve alongside in the space. We need more people jumping into valuable projects like Hive and going all out with their investments. Eventually andwith enough growth we'd reach the stage where we realize the things hoped for.
