So, it has begun. For those of us who have been "hodling" for the last four years, 2021 is the big year. Even the most hapless blokes that bought BTC at the last all time high managed to see themselves in the black.

While most alts are still nowhere near their last ATH, even my portfolio is in the green. The question for me right now is, when do I cash out my initial investment? Sure, I could be greedy and wait till everything goes through the roof. The more conservative move for me is to take out the initial investment and then sit on the house money and ride it out.

Chances are, I won't be cashing out the bulk of it at the end of the year. Knowing how exchanges are prone to have "technical issues" during the frenzy, it may be wise to exit a bit earlier.

Regardless, it's nice to see I've chosen some appreciating assets that put me in a good position as of now. One thing that is inconvenient is that some of my assets are not supported by Ledger Live. So, I would have to go elsewhere to check them out and see if I need to make adjustments.

There have been so many good opportunities recently like DeFi. But, the main issue is not having enough capital to take advantage of them. Alas, such is life and we play along based on the cards dealt to us.

Can't say the same for Hive, of course, but there is an opportunity here. Although, it may be on its last leg if it can't make any meaningful gains this year. It's not even about the price. It's about the big tech and the muddied waters of public utility and private companies.

For once, some people are starting to see the writing on the wall, but that doesn't mean Hive can seize this opportunity. That's what you get for not having a serious marketing campaign, I guess. I wouldn't call the Twitter spam from the community as a form of "serious" marketing, but hey, keep putting the name out there. It's better than nothing...for now.
