5G and its Importance - (Why we need 5G at this time)
We have heard a lot about 5G and its conspiracy theories, these theories have been ringing hard in the telecommunication and technological industry but one thing that hasn’t changed is the benefits of 5G to us and what we are going to make off it. The Fifth Generation Cellular Wireless is something that is going to change the world, from speed and more data which will make the world’s internet faster than it is expected. A lot of people have experienced this. In the past, it takes a lot of time to view a page or download a movie when using 3G or 4G, but with 5G, these things only take a few seconds to get downloaded, so it is no doubt that 5G is going to change the speed in getting data.
With speed comes latency. In the past, loading a page could take minutes, the difference between the time of click and time of display but with 5G, this things are going to change. With the 4G network, latency is at 50 milliseconds but with 5G, the latency period is believed to be about 4 milliseconds. Which means that everything can go very fast. Also, 5G can accept more devices with better coverage. 5G can serve a lot of people compared to its predecessors 3G and 4G. 5G will be the best network coverage for games and virtual reality, people will be able to play games at real time and view data with virtual reality.
5G will improve self-driving cars and automation. Although automation has been on the rise but it will be of more use with the 5G network as it things like self-driving cars need to use sensors, cameras and GPS trackers to get locations, communicate with other vehicles as well as identify objects very fast and nothing can give such speed currently except for 5G technology. Also, Artificial Intelligence would need to analyze and use data to function properly and 5G will do this. With 5G also, the internet of things (IoT) would perform properly making transfer of data very fast.
Also, with the Covid-19, a lot of people plan to work remotely from home but one thing will make the work faster and beat time lags in video conferencing and sending of data and tat technology is the 5G technology. The technology will be able allow people send at real time even though they are in different part of the world.
Concluding Part
Although a lot of people have been raising points to why the 5G technology should not be fully implemented, with the believe that it causes medical problems including cancers but this facts haven’t been proven and for what I see, 5G cannot be stopped as consumers, business owners and governments need this technology to access data very fast and improve technology.
