Trading is one of the most emblematic professions of this era, it is about investing our capital by exchanging different assets in order to have a positive return on our investment. Of course, today trading can be done in many ways and in different markets, which makes this exercise a very versatile method of making money, but with a lot of risks, however, this risk can be controlled very easily if we educate ourselves properly on capital and risk management. Something I talked about in this publication a few days ago, in that sense, in this opportunity I want to explain to you the basics of trading.
So, I hope that this publication can reach many new users of the platform so that they have a clear idea of what is really trading and how it relates directly to the cryptocurrency market.
What is trading, what is its function and how does it relate to the cryptocurrency market?
*To answer this question in order, because you have several intrinsic aspects to it, I will define each one of these aspects separately and thus avoid confusion:
What is Trading?
Trading, in simple and clear language, is the buying and selling of financial assets, in a few words, buying any good or asset cheaper, to later sell it more expensive, but there is one more thing to take into account, these assets can be of various types since there are many of them today, classified as follows:
- Stock Indexes (Down Jones, Nasdaq, S&P500)
- Forex Currencies (Dollar, Euro, Swiss Franc)
- Stocks: (Facebook, Apple)
- Commodities: (gold, silver, oil)
- Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin)
Despite the fact that nowadays trading is related to these assets mentioned above, the reality is that for millions of years, the exchange has existed, and these people at that time, did it with the intention of generating some greater benefit, of course, after such negotiation was carried out, where they exchanged cattle, for gold, for example, or some kind of crop, for rice. So, taking all this data, we can conclude that trading or commerce has always existed, but the difference is that, nowadays, it has become a profession that practically directs the economy of a national currency, or in our case our famous and beloved "Cryptocurrencies".
What is the function of trading?
Here, it should be easy to discern which are the functions of making an exchange. First of all, those who perform this practice of exchange, always seek something in return, as I said in the previous definition, people always seek to obtain some benefit by exchanging anything and not only has to be monetary but may be related to the needs of people.
For example Someone with a smartphone, maybe he prefers a Tablet because he wants to have a bigger screen, and based on this need, he looks for someone to exchange his phone for what he really wants and he gets it. This is trade, it is an exchange and depends on the need of each person, but the difference with our current environment is that we make exchanges in order to obtain financial benefits (Monetary), to monetize our savings or our money, looking to be financially free with this practice.
What is the relationship between trading and cryptocurrencies?
Simple, cryptocurrencies are a digital asset, but they fulfill the same function as the dollar, then, having this clear, people have the need to acquire these cryptocurrencies for various reasons, ranging from monetary and speculative to the simplest which is to cover their normal basic needs, such as buying a product, online, or simply pay in a restaurant with Bitcoin, there are many cases that can occur. All this creates what is a market, which seeks to satisfy in a certain way all its actors and this is the reason why prices are formed in cryptocurrencies and in any asset.
What are the tools used for trading (Technical Analysis and Fundamental Analysis) and at least one example of each. (A screenshot is required).
Trading with financial assets is materialized based on human sense and needs, but, for those who seek to profit from the purchase and/or sale of an asset, we must have in our possession 2 powerful tools, capable of placing all the probabilities of success in our favor in an investment. Having said this, I will proceed to explain each of the tools:
Technical Analysis:
Technical analysis, bases its study on the understanding and observation of a graph, which is composed of several elements that help the investor to make an investment decision, either buy and / or sell. Now, these elements are many, it would certainly take me a long time to describe them all, but I will name some of the most important ones below:
- Japanese Candlesticks
- Price action
- Technical Indicators (RSI, MACD, SMA, EMA)
- Support and resistance
- Market trends and cycles
These are some of the most important elements of technical analysis, which help the investor to buy and sell at very specific points, with respect to the price movement and of course the temporality they are analyzing, also through this tool, we can control the risk in any investment we make so that if our operation does not go as we believe, we can have a minimum loss and look for another opportunity.

Fundamental Analysis:
This is the second most important tool, with respect to the investment (Buy-Sell), in the financial markets, but this one takes into account very different aspects from those of the last tool, since, we do not have to observe directly the price movement and a graph, but, we must study and analyze other very different elements. So, taking this into account, we can define that fundamental analysis is based on the study of facts and news that directly affect the value and price of a currency, taking into account that, depending on the type of news, event that takes place and/or any other external analysis referring directly to the asset involved, its price will increase or decrease accordingly.
*Some of the elements of the fundamental analysis are the following:
- Financial analysis
- Impact news
- Government decisions
- Opinions of celebrities or influencers
All these elements together, form what is the fundamental analysis, taking into account that, for example, if we talk about a "Financial Analysis" in detail, this has to do directly with the research of the company or project, ranging from their new inventions and/or initiatives, to financial reports that have to do directly with their fiscal year and if they have reported profits over the previous year or on the contrary losses.

In the example above we can see the economic calendar for the next few days, which reflects the most important events that are about to happen in that nation, which can, directly and indirectly, affect the value of an asset. The colored bar, the fuller it is, means that the impact on the price can be much stronger than the rest.

I will compile the data from the Coinmarketcap platform, based on this, the 3 exchanges I choose with the highest capitalization, are as follows:
- Huobi Global = $2,717,696,777.
- Coinbase Exchange = $1,099,611,958
- Kraken = $486.529.777
> Note: I do not add Binance to the list because we know that it is the exchange with the highest trading volume.

I hope this post will help you to understand what trading is and how we can use the knowledge of trading in our favor, in order to start generating dividends in cryptocurrencies. El trading es una de las profesiones más emblemáticas de esta era, se trata de invertir nuestro capital realizando intercambio de distintos activos con el fin de tener un retorno positivo de nuestra inversión. Por supuesto, hoy en día el trading se puede realizar de muchas maneras y en distintos mercados, lo que hace de este ejercicio un método de ganar dinero muy versátil, pero con mucho riesgo, sin embargo, este riesgo se puede controlar muy facilmente si es que nos educamos correctamente sobre gestión de capital y riesgo. Algo de lo que hable en este publicación hace algunos dias, en tal sentido, en esta oportunidad quiero explicarles lo más básico del trading.
*Así que, espero que esta publicación pueda llegar a muchos usuarios nuevos de la plataforma, para que tengan una idea clara de que es verdaderamente el Trading y de qué forma se relaciona directamente con el mercado de Criptomonedas.
¿Qué es el trading, cuál es su función y cómo se relaciona con el mercado de criptomonedas?
*Para responder esta pregunta con orden, porque tienes varios aspectos intrínsecos en ella, definiré cada uno de estos aspectos por separado y de esta manera evitar la confusión:
¿Qué es el Trading?
El Trading hablando en un lenguaje sencillo y claro, es la compra y venta de activos financieros, en pocas palabras comprar más barato cualquier bien o activo, para posteriormente venderlo más caro, pero hay una cosa más a tomar en cuenta, estos activos, pueden ser de varios tipos, ya que, existen muchos de ellos en la actualidad, clasificándose de la siguiente manera:
- Índices Bursátiles (Down Jones, Nasdaq, S&P500)
- Forex Divisas (dólar, euro, Franco Suizo)
- Acciones: (Facebook, Apple)
- Commodities: (oro, plata, petróleo)
- Criptomonedas (bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin)
A pesar de que en la actualidad se relacione el trading con estos activos mencionados anteriormente, la realidad es que desde hace millones de años, existe el intercambio, y estas personas en aquel entonces, lo realizaban con la intención de generar algún benéfico mayor, claro está, después de que se llevara a cabo dicha negociación, donde intercambiaban ganado, por oro, por ejemplo, o algún tipo de cosecha, por arroz. Entonces, tomando todos estos datos, podemos llegar a la conclusión de que el trading o el comercio siempre ha existido, pero la diferencia es que, en la actualidad, se ha convertido en una profesión que prácticamente dirige la economía de una moneda nacional, o en nuestro caso de nuestras famosas y queridas “Criptomonedas”.
¿Cuál es la función del trading?
Acá, debe ser sencillo discernir, cual o cuales son las funciones de realizar un intercambio. Primero que nada, los que realizan esta practica de intercambio, siempre buscan algo a cambio, lo decía en la anterior definición, las personas siempre buscan obtener algún beneficio intercambiando cualquier cosa y no solo tiene que ser monetariamente, sino que, puede estar relacionado con las necesidades de las personas.
Por ejemplo: Alguien con un teléfono inteligente, tal vez prefiere una Tablet, porque desea tener una pantalla más grande y basándose en esta necesidad, busca ah alguien con quien intercambiar su teléfono por lo que realmente quiere y lo logra. Esto es comercio, es un intercambio y depende de la necesidad de cada persona, pero la diferencia con nuestro entorno actual, es que, nosotros realizamos intercambios con iras a obtener beneficios financieros (Monetarios), para rentabilizar nuestros, ahorros o nuestro dinero, buscando ser financieramente libre con esta práctica.-
¿Cuál es la relación del Trading con las Criptomonedas?
Sencillo, las criptomonedas son un activo digital, pero cumplen la misma funcion que el dólar, entonces, teniendo claro esto, las personas tienen la necesidad de adquirir estas criptomonedas por diversas razones, que van desde lo monetario y especulativo a lo mas sencillo que es cubrir sus necesidades básicas normales, como comprar un producto, por internet, o sencillamente pagar en un restaurant con Bitcoin, son muchos los casos que se pueden presentar. Todo esto crea lo que es un mercado, que busca satisfacer de cierta manera a todos sus actores y esta es la razón por la que se forman los precios en las criptomonedas y en cualquier activo.
Cuáles son las herramientas utilizadas para el trading (Análisis Técnico y Análisis Fundamental) y de al menos un ejemplo de cada una. (Se requiere una captura de pantalla).
El trading con los activos financieros se materializa en base al sentido y necesidades humanas, pero, para los que buscan obtener ganancias con la compra y/o venta de un activo, debemos tener en nuestro poder 2 poderosas herramientas, capaces de colocar todas las probabilidades de éxito a nuestro favor en una inversión. Habiendo dicho esto, procederé a explicar cada una de las herramientas:
Análisis Técnico:
El análisis técnico, basa su estudio en la comprensión y observación de una gráfica, la cual esta compuesta por varios elementos que ayudan al inversor a toma una decisión de inversión, bien sea comprar y/o vender. Ahora bien, estos elementos son muchos, ciertamente me llevaría muchísimo tiempo describirlos todos, pero algunos de los más importantes los nombrare a continuación:
- Velas Japonesas
- Acción del precio
- Indicadores técnicos (RSI, MACD, SMA, EMA)
- Soportes y resistencias
- Tendencias y ciclos de mercado
Estos son algunos de los elementos mas importantes del análisis técnico, que ayudan al inversor a comprar y vender en puntos muy específicos, con respecto al del desplazamiento del precio y por supuesto la temporalidad que estén analizando, también por medio de esta herramienta, nosotros podremos controlar el riesgo en cualquier inversión que hagamos, con el fin de que, si nuestra operación no sale como creemos, podamos tener una mínima perdida y buscar otra oportunidad.

Análisis Fundamental:
Esta es la segunda herramienta mas importante, con respecto a la inversión (Compra-venta), en los mercados financieros, pero esta toma en cuenta aspectos muy diferentes a los de la herramienta pasada, ya que, no tenemos que observar directamente el desplazamiento del precio y una gráfica, sino que, debemos estudiar y analizar otros elementos muy distintos. Entonces, teniendo en cuenta esto, podemos definir que, el análisis fundamental, se basa en el estudio de hechos y noticias que afectan directamente el valor y el precio de una moneda, tomando en cuenta que, dependiendo del tipo de noticia, evento que se lleve a cabo y/o cualquier otro análisis externo refiriéndose directamente al activo involucrado, su precio aumentará o disminuirá en consecuencia.
*Algunos de los elementos del análisis fundamental son los siguientes:
- Análisis financieros
- Noticias de impacto
- Decisiones gubernamentales
- Opiniones de celebridades o influencers
Todos estos elementos en conjunto, forman lo que es el análisis fundamental, teniendo en cuenta que, por ejemplo, si hablamos de un “Análisis Financiero” a detalle, este tiene que ver directamente con la investigación de la compañía o proyecto, que van desde sus nuevas invenciones y/o iniciativas, hasta reportes financieros que tengan que ver directamente con su año fiscal y si ha reportada ganancias con respecto al año anterior o al contrario perdidas.

En el ejemplo de arriba podemos observar el calendario económico de los próximos dias, el cual refleja los acontecimientos más importantes que están próximamente a suceder en esa nación, los cuales pueden afectar directa e indirectamente el valor de un activo. La barra de color, mientras mas llena este, significa que el impacto en el precio, puede ser mucho mas fuerte que el resto.

Recopilare los datos de la plataforma de Coinmarketcap, en base esto, los 3 intercambios que elijo con la mayor capitalización, son los siguientes:

Espero que este post les ayude a comprender que es el trading y como podemos utilizar los conocimientos del comercio a nuestro favor, para poder comenzar a generar dividendos en criptomonedas.
