What I love about the crypto world is that it's changing all the time, there's something new every day that pushes us closer to out goal. I have the habit of reading the news in the morning, to see what has been going on during the night and catch up with all the development.

Kyrgyzstan & Crypto

Today I saw a Tweet by Cointelegraph with something promising, unlike last week, when we learned about the totally uninspired move of Nigerian lawmakers to ban crypto altogether and terminate bank accounts that have been involved in crypto trading. It was about Kyrgyzstan planning to introduce licenses for crypto exchanges.

Kyrgyzstan is not the center of the world, or an economical or political power that leads the world. It's a former Soviet republic, a landlocked country with a population of 6,586,600 inhabitants and the second poorest country in Central Asia after Tajikistan.

The central bank of the Kyrgyz Republic wants to provide crypto investors with the same level of protection that is already in place in traditional finance.

NBKR chairman Tolkunbek Abdygulov announced that the country’s central bank is planning to start regulating exchange operations involving cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), local economic publication Tazabek reports Feb. 12. source

The Kyrgyz government presented two bills to public discussion in January 2021. It is expected to finalize the bills by the end of 2021 and they are also planning to regulate mining as well.

It is true that no one wants regulations or taxation, but if we were to choose between regulations and ban, we would obviously choose the first one.

So this small country is taking steps toward joining the big crypto world, working on facilitating mining and trading. I'm glad to see them one by one, making small changes and heading in the right direction. It has been said many times that smaller countries have higher chance to change and adapt to new reality and here it is a good example. Kyrgyzstan could be an example to the rest of the countries in the area. Someone has to pave the road. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan could follow.

Kyrgyzstan, Twitter & Hive

You may ask what does Kyrgyzstan have to do with Hive. Probably or unfortunately nothing, as I haven't seen one single user from Kyrgyzstan on Hive or Steem.

This is the tweet made by Cointelegraph and once you open the tweet, what you see is on the above screenshot. You can see some comments, a few Twitter thinks you should see, and the rest is hidden under the text of Show additional replies, including those that may contain offensive content.

Surprise, surprise! Although there were only 4 comments in total, Twitter hid 3 in which other parties were mentioned, among which one was Hive. Obviously these comments have nothing to do with the topic of the original tweet, but even so, why hide them, right?

I was wondering how many of our comments are hidden by Twitter, because they think that's the right thing to do. I know many Hive and Leofinance users are working on promoting Hive and Leofinance by commenting on crypto tweets. Are those comments hidden as well? This is not good, not at all. This has to stop. Let us decide what we want to see.

#projectblank is going to fix that, no hidden comments, no deleted accounts.
