Seeing this topic a few days ago, got me thinking about what exactly are my financial goals this year. Yeah, I am supposed to have a financial goal this year but that also involves having many sources of income.

We all know that the pandemic has crumbled a lot of companies and have made many workers lose their job due to the cut down of workers by many companies and as such, many companies won't be needing or recruiting new workers or better still, if they are, the monthly salary will be nothing to write home about.

I am saying this base on the little knowledge I have about my countries economy precisely my home town where I base currently. We have few or small companies and the monthly earnings are little compared to the expenses a family use per month.

I actually had in mind to go out there and look for a paying job this year but currently, it is obvious that there are no vacancies for new people as businessmen and women are trying to build up their business again because of the loss they faced.

One of the financial goals I planned this year, is to try as much as possible to be debt-free. there is nothing as worst as been a debtor. It can drain one of the future income and make one penniless. I know it is not going to be an easy one but it involves working on my mindset.

Yeah, many of our financial goals can't be achieved if our negative thought pattern isn't worked upon and renewed. So, no matter what it takes, one of my financial goals in 2021 is debt-free.

So early this year, I met with a friend of mine who told me about how he invested in the stock exchange (he bought Dangote cement) last year at a low price, and when the price increased, there was an increase in the goods he bought.

Although this investment is a long term investment that may increase or may not increase any time soon. Although we all know that there is a risk attached to these things but one thing that makes me want to go into to is for future purposes. Having the knowledge that in the next two to eight years I have an investment that will bring profit for me makes me happy.

I really want to make some financial gains on crypto which includes (Hive, Leo, Sport, Blurt) that will increase my wealth this year since it is obvious that I won't be having any good paying job anytime soon but I still have to do it in a way that I will be comfortable with but that does not involves doing anything to have that.

I have heard about so many new blockchains like Torum and Publish0x, so currently, I am exploring these new blockchains to see how I can earn more from the platform.

Like I have said, I do not have any source of income except the crypto world so I plan on doing little savings for myself using my crypto earnings. It is definitely going to be hard for me considering the fact that I have just one source of income but then, there is no harm in trying something new. It is a daily saving where I just have to do my piggy box and drop any amount there.

This idea came to me last week when I went for a financial class and I was taught that when it comes to savings, nothing is too small as long as we have our source of income. So, I thought about that and I said to myself, what if I save One Hundred Naira daily in 365 days, I will be having a lot at the end of the year and that alone can settle my bills and I can as well deposit some into the bank.

This year, I do not really want to have so many unrealistic goals after all, it is better to have two realistic goals that are achieved than have five unrealistic goals that are never achieved. I just want to be able to look into the mirror and smile to myself at the end of the year that I was able to do some important things.
