PROFIT OR LOSS
Hey guys, it has really been a while I did something here and that is because of the network issue I have been having lately.
I don't know if what I want to share with us really fits the topic but that topic came in yesterday.
After church, I decided to follow a friend of mine to their farm since they decided to harvest their farm. Our local yam anyway.
Since I haven't done that before and I don't know how to do it, I guess the work is for me. I decided to stand and watch.
While he was been careful when harvesting the yam so he doesn't break the yam since their aim is to cut some part and use it for planting again in the next season of planting yam.
Unfortunate, in his third round of harvesting the yam, his spade mistakenly broke a bigger part of the yam into the soil. He was just screaming and complaining of how careless and how he did not take his time to inspect how the yam was lying before he digs in his spade into the soil.
He started digging more and more to find the other part and unlucky for him, that part is the particular part that is supposed to be used for planting in the next season, so he says. (I am not an agriculturist neither do I do farming, so those who know these terms will understand better what I am talking about).
While I watch him dig and dig more into the soil looking for this yam, I had the topic PROFIT AND LOSS. Unfortunately, it was very hard for him to find the cut-out part because of the red soil, so he had to give up on that because he had other yams to harvest and it was already becoming dark. Funny right? but that's how I got the topic to write today. Although no picture was taken because I couldn't since I don't have a smartphone for that but I am trying to drive at something.
A businessman or woman who is tagged a business guru isn't tagged a business guru because the name is funny but he or she is tag a business guru because of their determination to move on after so many failures, setbacks, and losses in his business.
He invests in this business, that business and the other business gets a loss, learns his lessons but never stops. Instead, he keeps moving but this time he or she is watchful and careful about each step they take.
One thing I saw while I watched that friend of mine do after his ordeal about the broken yam was that he learned his lessons and he was more careful, watchful and took his time in the other round and lucky for him, he did not break any yam again.
In every business, there is profit and loss. No matter how small the business may seem and any businessman who refuses to take a step because he or she is afraid of loss will never grow neither will they be vast in knowledge.
Not only should any man think of the profits he or she will gain in business but they should not also forget that there is also what we call loss in every business. There is no profit without a loss in business and I guess no business tycoon who is into business has not faced loss before he or she rose up to become strong.
One thing that makes a businessman different from other businessmen is the ability to learn from his failure (loss) work towards making a change and never give up no matter how painful the loss maybe.
In every business, it is either you gain or your lose but the question is when you lose, or encounter set back, do you relent effort and not get to know the reasons for your loss or do you learn the reasons behind the loss and still keep moving?
Just like the case of bitcoin, before now, many people were not happy and many also faced loss but we also had those who kept on moving and accumulating knowing the fact that business consist of profit or loss, and today, they are happy because they never relented effort.
Even in the crypto world, there is profit and loss. Imagine holding some liquid for some months hoping the liquid rises above the recent amount it is currently seeking only for months after months, it depreciates or reduces the amount. It is a loss at that moment to the owner but then, that does not mean that that amounts will remain like that because there will come a time when it will rise above and then, we call that profit
Never give up when you face loss instead, learn from it and keep moving.Keep investing in nbsinesses, keep staking, do not be afraid because there will come a time when you will sit back and be happy you never had a cold feet.
