I was going to delve into the archives and pull something out that was almost complete, but instead decided to create something brand new.

And that's mostly what this post is all about, keeping your writing muscles trained by creating new content on a regular basis. It would have been easy to top off an already completed work, a little too easy if you ask me. So that's why I decided to challenge myself today and see if I could come up with something fresh.

That's what helps to make us better writers. Never settling for "just OK" when we know we can push ourselves to achieve even more. Those banked posts are evergreens which aren't going anywhere, and will be an asset which can be held for a rainy day.

I believe its far more important to grow as a content creator instead of always taking the easy path. Normally, it takes me a bit of time involved in planning and research in order to put together my next post. Today, I wanted to involve myself in a little exercise that was far different from what I normally expect from myself.

It's been getting easier to fill the screen with new content, as that old adage about getting better by "doing" couldn't be truer. I really enjoy the process of creating, even if I feel almost spent once it's over. There's a feeling of pride in not putting out yet another shitpost, and actually putting the time and effort in to publish something worthwhile.

Part of my prep before tackling a new article, is to go out online to see what problems need solutions. I also find myself inspired by what others are going through, and hope I can do the same for the readers of my blog. Everything starts out in Notepad where I allow myself to make mistakes before being transferred to my text editor for final tweakings.

A writers work is never done however, but there comes a point where it's "publish-ready" and time to share it with the world. I love being a writer, and the more you do it, the better you get. Where are you at in your writer's journey?
