With some of the expanded free time I've had lately, I decided to step in and make some tweaks to my little town in dCity. This blockchain game which once presented a maze of choices with the most recent upgrade, has now become much more familiar and accessible. The benefits of aiming for growth in certain areas are much more apparent than they ever were before. I made a test buy of over 100k SIM tokens to see how it would affect daily rewards, and have now made the move to using the drips to bootstrap the growth of my little metropolis. One very useful tool that I'm making use of is the simulation function.

This is where I try out different card purchase options to envision the end results. This has saved me so much time and wasted token expenditures, while also helping me to make targeted buys to get the desired results. If you've never used it before, I encourage you "try before you buy" and give the simulation a test-run today.

One significant purchase was the Advanced Training card, which provides for two daily trainings vs one without it. Now you still need a steady supply of immigrants and homeless in order to feed the channel to get the most out of this handy card, so be sure to optimize for that.

With the price of many tokens in the red lately, now is a great time to buy for value and stack for the next crypto bull run. While not financial advice, I'm of the opinion that this is a moment where being contrary may end up paying off in the future. I've also taken to trimming some of the extra technology cards I've accumulated over the past year in order to generate even more city revenue.

My city's population crested 5k for the very first time, while my current popularity is now over 3k as well. Crime is low, and an early investment in Job Centers is setting me up nicely now for the increased training potential.

One thing I plan to make more use of in the new year are events. This is something I did a little of back in 2020, before being drawn away by other things. With dCity, the more time you put into the game, the better it gets. How's your city?
