Hello everyone...

There is no doubt that when a politician wants to secure his election, he will promise a thousand things to achieve it. I remember many politicians around the world who during their campaigns promised to end poverty, crime, unemployment, etc. But every one of them failed miserably because they did not solve anything. But every one of them failed miserably because they did not solve anything or forgot about their promises when they were in power.

Currently, with the boom of cryptocurrencies, NFTs, defi, and everything related to the crypto world, politicians are taking advantage of this trend to promise things related to cryptocurrencies, either legalize them or pay salaries with crypto to ensure their election, as they are taking into account what people want. And that is what a Canadian politician has done by talking about the legalization and promotion of cryptocurrencies in his political campaign.

SOURCE

If we look at the acceptance graphs around the world, we will see that this year the number of people interested in cryptocurrencies or those who use them daily has grown considerably, for example in the United States 27% of the population agrees that bitcoin should be the legal tender. In other countries like Argentina and Paraguay, workers want their salaries or part of them to be paid in cryptocurrency. And already in other countries like El Salvador, this crypto trend has been established at a greater pace.

But as history has shown very well, politicians always take advantage of the need of the people and play with that with attractive promises that deceive many and then disillusion them. Well, in the same way, it may happen with cryptocurrencies in the largest countries or those that are considered powers, since the situation in El Salvador, a country with a borrowed economy and dependent on the United States, is very different from a country with a strong and consolidated economy like Canada.

And although the intention that these politicians may have concerning cryptocurrencies and talk about their legalization and mass adoption in a sense is a good idea because you can see that they are those who adapt to survive. The truth is that I have never trusted politicians as they always look for their benefit or that of someone more powerful, besides it is the big politicians who seek to end the cryptocurrencies with constant bans or absurd regulations, so you have to see the facts before making sure if what they will do is true or not.

And this is where I make a clear distinction between politicians and crypto developers, as we can have more confidence in the latter.

For example, those who are always developing Leofinance or Hive, are committed to this and do not respond to centralized interests or accumulation of power.

For example, something that has been promised recently by the leofinance development team and which I believe will be an exponential benefit, is the leofinance mobile dapp to be launched this October 1st, it is a long-awaited announcement and one that many of us know will be hugely beneficial not only for leofinance but for the whole Hive ecosystem as there are many more people interested in mobile apps, so as I said before, politicians need to see facts to believe, but with the developers, we can have confidence in what they promise as they are truly committed.
