Leo Challenge: What can you do or buy with $1 in country?
The other day while I was in a store in my city buying a few things that were missing from my house, I stopped to think that I would buy with $1 if I were in another country, because I precisely had a $1 bill I was going to pay you for a toilet soap, a toothbrush and a razor, and since all that gave 90 cents I included a lollipop to complete the dollar because in Venezuela there are no 50 25 or 10 cents coins.
I always ask myself this question because I know that the value of money is not the same in all countries. And since due to the pandemic I cannot go out and leave even those countries and check it out by myself, I wanted to do this challenge so that I can really know the situation that people are living in day by day, and even though the news or social networks say what you can do with $1 depending on the country where you are, I prefer to read it directly from the people who live in that country and who buy and sell daily.
For example, in my country Venezuela, with $1 I will still be able to buy many things that I am going to list for you, of course you are not going to become a millionaire but you are not going to be in need if you are in a difficult situation, then with $1 in Venezuela you can buy yourself:
4 Canilla or baguette bread.
3 pairs of socks.
2 empanadas and 1 small juice.
1 hot dog or also 1 hamburger
2 kilogram vegetable combo
A bag with different chocolate candies
10 small tequeños (cheese fingers)
A bribe to the policeman
1 hallaca
2 popsicles of ice cream
1 nacelle
1 Poorly done haircut
3 toilet soaps and 1 lollipop
1 kilo of any food (rice, pasta, flour, sugar)
Anyway, these are some of the things that you can buy with $1 here in Venezuela based on my own experience of what I have bought, but I would like to know what you can buy with $1 in your country. It doesn't matter if you live in the United States, a European country or an African or Asian country, you can participate in this mini challenge by making a publication or writing a comment telling me that you can buy with $1 in your country. Thank you very much for reading.
