Hello everyone...

Crypto Games and NFT were something that 2 years ago was practically nonexistent, but if we go to today, we will see that they have become very important for many economic sectors such as the art and collectibles market, but with much more strength in the video game industry, as it is a large market with much potential for growth worldwide. That is why crypto games like axie infinity, splinterlands, Aliens Worlds, among others. They have had a huge acceptance among players and every day they are increasing and there are actively hundreds of thousands.

Many, seeing how blockchain and gaming have interpenetrated very well, have argued that NFT and cryptogames are the real future, as it is a multi-billion dollar market with aggressive growth in the coming years. That is why the current big video game industries have tried to explore crypto games in various ways, one of the most used is what Steam does, which in its catalog of video games allowed crypto games, but all that had a setback with a recent policy change.

SOURCE

In statements made by Valve company creator of Steam, stated that can not allow on its platform items that have value in the real world, even Steam has updated its policies of use and has put the content or crypto games and the first game affected with these new policies has been Age of Rust a first-person game where you solve puzzles and that is based on the ENJIN blockchain.

So from now on all games that are also blockchain style or that provide NFT to their players will also be eliminated. if we look at Steam's new rules for game developers, they place NFT cryptogames alongside hate speech, sexually explicit images and defamatory statements.

I think this is the worst decision that a company that creates and sells third party video games could have taken because, with so much growth in the sector of play2earn games, it is something extremely stupid that a world-famous platform does not want to be part of this great development, they are doing as the saying goes to build walls instead of bridges. Since in just one year the amount of players that have come to crypto games is huge, think of splinterlands, which is less than 3 months reached 1 million players, a market like this is not allowed to pass so foolishly.

Also, you can see what their real intentions are concerning the market, since the only thing they want is to always win and as the NFT and crypto games give the power back to the players, it is not a profitable business for Valve, since with the growth in crypto games there would be less money for them.

A great opportunity for Hive.

When I was reading valve's decision about crypto games, I thought this is a huge opportunity for hive or any other blockchain platform with dapps support, because if the centralized stores or platforms don't want to work, then look for the ones that do.

Hive blockchain is the perfect place, because it is very fast, secure, and has a great community, where players can share their experiences and be rewarded, plus it has great support for dapps development very economical if we look at the Our dapps section in Hive blog we will see how hundreds of dapps and projects of different functions are credited every day.

in conclusion, the decisions made by some blinded to reality can be opportunities for others. The market is demanding Crypto and NFT games, in the end, Valve will regret it when they see that the games being developed on the blockchain and marketed on the same blockchains will surpass them and leave them behind, it's only a matter of time.

And what do you think about valve's statements regarding crypto games and NFT? do you think it will be an opportunity for other markets?
