That day also everyone had gone to their homes but Franklin could not find a goat, so he went out in search of it with his elder boy, but due to the light darkness, they could not find the goat anywhere, only then they saw That a cat-like animal of a larger size than a dog was standing at a distance of about 60-70 feet from them, his red eyes were shining even in the dark. Both father and son quietly returned to their home from there. Then within a few days the animals, dogs, cats, goats, sheep of other villagers also started disappearing, then there was an atmosphere of concern in the village.

Then Franklin told everyone that he had seen a strange animal, then a very old man told that the animal is a mountain lion which is of the same species of cats but hunts small animals, does not attack humans when Till it is not harassed, its strength is much less than the lions of the plains. It can be killed by 3-4 men together. Then the villagers together decided that after finding this mountain lion, it should either be killed or it should be captured. So that it does not cause further damage. Apart from this, as long as the animals roam in the open, many people will protect them together, they should not be left alone.

According to these decisions, many people started guarding with sticks, spears, arrows, etc. and finally caught that mountain lion Puma, tied it and handed it over to the forest officials of the district.
