The entire Hive world is excited and getting ready as we are getting close to the @spknetwork claim drop in January. Also the recent bull run that has seen Hive rise up to more than $2 has made things more exciting and I expect things to keep going like this till January as I predicted in one of my posts weeks ago. The SPK Network is a decentralised Web 3.0 protocol that rewards value creators and content infrastructure providers.

Some days ago @spknetwork published a post calling on hivers to help in testing the PeerPlays DEX, the on-chain DEX which the team has built. SPK Network | Call to Action! Help us Test PeerPlays DEX

Answering the call, I also join other testers and here is my feedback.

I used a HUAWEI Y7p mobile phone device. Model - ART-L29 EMUI version - 9.1.1 Android version - 9 CPU - HUAWEI Kirin 710F RAM - 4.0 GB Resolution - 1560 x 720

On the device, I used the brave browser and visited https://dex2.peerplays.download/. What I noticed at this point was that it took around 3 min to load.

After it opened, I created an account. While creating the account, I discovered that it did not accept the username (Fatherfaith) which I wanted to use. Even when I changed it to all lower case (fatherfaith) it still did not accept it until I added a dash and a figure (fatherfaith-4). I don't know if it is a bug or the name has been taken or it is designed that way. That needs to be look into.

After creating the account, the main screen with dashboard opened, after which I navigated to 'My Assets' where I viewed the 1000 TEST Tokens.

I then opened my hive wallet and sent 0.001 Hive to the created account by sending it to @son-account using my PeerPlays username as memo.

The Hive entered almost immediately and it reflected in 'My Assets'.

I navigated to the 'Exchange' page to change some TEST Tokens for Hive which was done smoothly.

I finally tried to withdraw back into my hive wallet by transferring Hive to son-account and and using my hive username as memo.

Up till now, I have not received the Hive transferred to my hive wallet from PeerPlays. I can't say if it is a bug or it's because it is a testnet.

The only issues are

  • The username I intended to use was not accepted until I added a character and a figure.
  • The Hive I withdrew to my hive wallet has not been received up till now.

Aside those two, every other thing looks fine. It is simple and easy to use. I don't even know it will work fine on mobile but it did.

This is a great innovation and it will bring a great boost to Hive and SPK Network. Can't wait for PeerPlays DEX to officially launch.
