I received a notification today from the TENX company

Following our announcement last month about reorganizing our services, we are writing to remind you that we will be sunsetting our TenX services soon. New sign-ups and deposits have been disabled, and even though your funds remain safe, we encourage you to withdraw your funds from your TenX Wallet at your earliest convenience.

Early 2018 I wanted to get a crypto credit card and at the time TENX seemed like the ones that were going to get it done. So I signed up and paid the whopping 15 USD in fees when BTC was at 13k tumbling down from the ATH. It was my first Bullrun and I still thought all this was just a dip and I was going to be a gazillionaire.

(Guess I was wrong)

I just went through the bear market without my card and kind of forgot all about it.

In October last year I got an email they were not doing the card and were refunding my 15 USD which I was happy to receive. I even made a small profit on it in BTC terms.

I had already received back the 15 USD I paid for the TENX card in October, but then remembered I had put a small amount, around 50 USD worth, on the wallet to test out if it worked (back in 2018) when BTC was hovering around 6k.

So now I go through the whole rimram rigamarole of logging in:

  • find the damn app
  • login to app
  • cannot log in
  • update app
  • login to app
  • forgot password
  • go through my files
  • find password
  • login to app
  • get logged in but need to add a bunch of data
  • get an email to confirm everything
  • go to email and confirm
  • login to app
  • check wallet

BTC 0.00962045 or 345 USD

So all in all, not a bad find. Some BTC that has not been lost and has been returned to the stash. I straight away sent it to my Nexo wallet where it is now sitting securely (as can be) and earning 6% interest
