Pokémon Legends Arceus

With less than a week for the official release of Pokémon Legends Arceus, the Pokémon franchise’s latest installment, the fans are hyped and are looking forward to a fresh take on the series.

Pokémon Legends Arceus was announced as part of the Pokémon Presents event on the 25th anniversary of the franchise, on 27th February 2021. Although the initial footage of the new open-world game was not up to the mark and had triggered a lot of discussions speculating how the game will turn out, the response from people who’ve already played the game is really positive. The game has even topped the best-selling charts in the Nintendo eShop with preorders alone.

The game features a lot of new gameplay mechanics, straying from the usual Pokémon formula. It demands the players be more attentive and has a lot of real-time mechanics like the wild Pokémon attacking the player and so on. Fans have also been commenting on how the new Legends game has taken quite a lot of inspiration from 2017’s Game of the Year The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which is a good thing).
