Soy de Venezuela, un país edificado sobre una falacia económica. Generaciones y generaciones desde el hallazgo del Petróleo, han afirmado que por sus reservas del crudo "somos el país más rico". Lejos de eso en realidad. Un país no es rico por lo que haya en su subsuelo.

I am from Venezuela, a country built on an economic fallacy. Generations and generations since the discovery of oil, have affirmed that because of its oil reserves "we are the richest country". Far from it in reality. A country is not rich because of what is in its subsoil.

Es como si dijera que yo soy rico porque poseo 2 riñones y puedo vender uno por una gran suma de dinero.

It is as if I were to say that I am rich because I own two kidneys and I can sell one of them for a large sum of money.

La falacia se ha repetido tantas veces que por obligación o por fuerza de repetición ha calado en el inconsciente colectivo, haciendo creer a muchos que efectivamente " somos un país rico" y no, no es cierto.

The fallacy has been repeated so many times that by force of repetition or obligation it has become part of the collective unconscious, making many believe that *"we are indeed a rich country" and no, it is not true.

Que la mayoría afirme algo, no significa que sea cierto. El punto es que, bajo esa circunstancia, los gobiernos con sus incompetentes administraciones y sus altas dosis de corrupción, no han sabido administrar la economía nacional. Engordando las cuentas bancarias de unos pocos y dejando a muchos cada vez en circunstancias más deplorables a nivel financiero.

The fact that the majority affirms something does not mean that it is true. The point is that, under these circumstances, governments with their incompetent administrations and high doses of corruption, have not known how to manage the national economy. Fattening the bank accounts of a few and leaving many in increasingly deplorable financial circumstances.

Pero todo no es tan gris y deprimente en esta región del mundo. Personalmente, en este año de pandemia, he aprendido un poco sobre la Blockchain y sobre Criptomonedas, me dé dado cuenta del potencial indecible que esta tecnología en el sentido financiero y económico posee.

Esta tecnología se nos presenta como un camino viable para solventar la crisis económica, no sólo a nivel local sino mundial, o por lo menos eso quiero creer.

But everything is not so gray and depressing in this region of the world. Personally, in this year of pandemic, I have learned a little about the Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, I have realized the unspeakable potential that this technology has in the financial and economic sense.

This technology is presented to us as a viable way to solve the economic crisis, not only locally but worldwide, or at least that's what I want to believe.

La Blockchain representa un hito histórico de magnitud olímpica. Estamos frente la cúspide de la transparencia y verificabilidad de transacciones, anulando el tercero de confianza que por siglos ha madurado en engaños y estafas.

**La Blockchain ha Rescatado lo que en inicio fue lo más importante y que personalmente creo, debería seguir siéndolo hoy en el mundo de las finanzas y la economía: la confianza*.

Al no existir un mediador entre extremos, debe haber confianza. Apostando por una conciencia más elevada en el mejor sentido. Estamos apostando por el mejoramiento de la raza humana en pocas palabras. Que lo virtual antes se planteaba como una fuga de lo humano, hoy se muestra como un retorno hacia lo verdaderamente humano.

**The Blockchain has rescued what in the beginning was the most important thing and what I personally believe should continue to be so today in the world of finance and economics: trust*.

Aumentando no sólo el poder adquisitivo de las personas, sino apostando por la inversión en proyectos que nos dirijan a un mejor futuro.

So, I feel that the Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies**, represent in potential and also in act, in the Aristotelian sense, the solution to the economic problems at a global level. Increasing not only the purchasing power of people, but betting on investment in projects that lead us to a better future.

A nivel local, me he propuesto a promocionar las criptos a todos los que a diario se topen conmigo. Intentando atraer más personas a la Blockchain, especialmente a **Hive y LeoFinance*.

On a local level, I have set out to promote cryptos to everyone I come across on a daily basis. Trying to attract more people to the Blockchain, especially *Hive and LeoFinance.

Sería fantástico que se comenzará a aceptar de un modo mas abierto el pago con criptos, en Venezuela el gobierno a creado su propia moneda virtual, la han bautizado “Petro”, evidenciando la continua idolatría en el crudo que ha sido no una bendición precisamente para el país, sino justo lo contrario. Lo más irónico del asunto es, que uno de los argumentos “más sólidos” del gobierno a favor de su divisa digital, es que es la única cripto moneda sustentada en las reservas de oro y petróleo de la nación.

Volviendo al viejo sistema económico donde el tercero de confianza se manifiesta. Y aunque la tecnología pueda ser muy buena, si caemos en lo arcaico damos pasos hacia atrás.
Lo ideal es avanzar, y la humanidad debe apuntar hacia la descentralización económica y financiera.
