Crypto ATMs in Athens, Greece are more Popular than Ever
I believe you all heard the news about Tesla buying 1.5 billion in btc and that they will also accept btc as a form of payment for their cars. We also all know how much Elon is interested in cryptos especially in doge aside from bitcoin.
A coin that has no real value and was created just for fun, with the help of Elon, constantly tweeting about it skyrocketed from under 1 cent to 8. You can imagine the amount of money some people earned. I, for example, had a small amount of doge that earned them in faucets and such and yesterday i cashed out 170$
Even coimarketcap, the popular site of which the majority of people out there uses to check the price of the cryptos, paid a tribute to Elon and Tesla.
Greece and Crypto ATMs
In Greece, cryptos aren't so much known as well as in most of the countries out there. Some people are afraid that they will lose their money, others believe that cryptos are scams and a small percentage don't even know about their existence.
Now, with all this fuzz about bitcoin reaching 40k and after a while surpassing that, managing to even reach 50k and ofc with the news of Elon buying 1.5 billion, everybody learned about it.
In Greece, there are a total of 60 crypto ATMs that are all part of a certain company. 30 of them are in the capital of Greece, Athens. It's also interesting to say that over 100 businesses in Greece are accepting cryptos.
The only drawback i see in these ATMs are the high fees when buying and selling. More specifically, when you buy there is a fee of 10% and when you sell a fee of 7%. That's too much in my eyes i dare to say.
I bet that after all this fuzz, Europe will take measures or regulations if you wish against crypto. There are already some news regarding that, that i have mentioned in other posts. The same is also happening in other countries as well, like india, South Africa, Nigeria.
The only certain thing is that cryptos are here to stay and mass adoption is closer than ever!
