Have you ever fallen Victim to Scam?
This is something that i am highly interested in learning. You know the majority of us are here and into cryptos for more than a year so we have seen things. I, for example, am 4 years old in my steemit/hive/leo journey and trust me when i say it, i have seen so many damn scammers.
I don't even know what to say for those that more than 5 years in the crypto world. You know each time the cryptos are on the news, for good reasons, and there is a fuzz around them, scammers will follow.
We have seen this in 2018, especially in Steemit but i guess it was the same for other cryptos as well. Now with btc over 50k and Elon buying in bulk, all the attention is gathered here.
We are closer to mass adoption and everyone is buying without even knowing a single thing or doing their own research first. Thus, the scammers will arrive in big numbers as it is easier for them to take advantage of people.
To understand how serious things are, a couple of days ago Europol arrested 10 hackers hat stole 100 million in cryptos from Celebrities but wait there is more. There are Ponzi schemes around btc that managed to steal billions of dollars worth of bitcoins from people.
i am lucky to tell you the truth as i never have been a victim of a scam. Even with shitty giveaways that i take part in and may seem suspicious if they ask me for money in order to receive the coins i simply don't do it knowing it is a scam
Also, there are many discord scams that are currently going on so if you receive a message from a stranger simply don't bother with him and don't reply.
Ahh before i forget it. A friend of mine told me yesterday that a famous greek celebrity bought bitcoin and through a link, we can buy it as well. This was obviously a scam and the funny thing is that this scam was actively going in 2018 and now it's on again :P
