Miami's Mayor Wants to Pay Salaries in Bitcoin

The Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez had an interesting talk in Forbes regarding Bitcoin. To begin with, the mayor said that he was always fascinated with the concept of Bitcoin and that there are 3 paths for the city-bitcoin integration.

  1. City Employees to get paid in Bitcoin

  2. Local Fees and Taxes to get paid in Bitcoin or other cryptos

  3. Investment in Bitcoin

As you can clearly understand this is big news. We are talking about a big and known city in America with nearly half a million people. If they managed to even follow one of the above paths, then the road to mass adoption will come way sooner than everyone was expecting!

The mayor has also spoken a couple of years ago at Bitcoin events and try to bring the bitcoin 2021 conference to Miami. He is also trying to have new laws and regulations in his city for bitcoin that are "loose" on the cryptocurrency.

This once again is big news for the crypto world in general. If you checked the mayor said that local fees and taxes can be paid in btc or other cryptos. The same can be applied to the salaries i guess.

So how amazing would that be if we get to see another crypto or cryptos into the everyday life of Miami? They can pay their employees in btc for example and the fees/taxes in another coin with lower fees etc etc

I bet if that happens then in the same year we gonna see more cities not only in America but throughout the world adopting that system. The only thing i have my doubts is what will happen regarding the regulations/taxes to all of the citizens who hold any crypto.
