I honestly can't understand why some people don't see that this is a win-win situation. I strongly believe that has to do with the mindset of many older generation people that have key positions at some companies believing that if you are working from home you are less productive than if you are working from the office.

Truth to be told people are happier working that way or at least working some days from home and some from the office as they can be with their family, be more productive as they can work quietly, don't waste time and money on commuting and feeling more comfortable at their own place.

At the same time because once again the politicians have destroyed everything, the vast majority of people live in the capital of each country. The main reason is that most of the companies have their presence there and thus if someone wants to find more opportunities they will come to a capital city.

That has its problems though and the main ones are a rise in rents, a decline in space of the houses, a rise in corruption and crime rates, more garbage and pollution, fewer green spaces and other cities turning into ghost towns.

A ghost town is a city that has a small number of residents even though it can have way more. As a result schools, hospitals and supermarkets are moving away and the remaining residents have to waste hours even if an emergency happens. Some of these small towns don't even have access to the internet or clean water.

Just imagine that Greece has a population of 10,7 million while Athens has 33% of that population which is 3,153 million. Another example is that literally 70% of Spain is empty. There are no works, roads, infrastructures and heck even internet, so why anyone should stay in the first place?

With Remote working, this can change. Many people hate the big cities and are only here for the amenities provided. Thus, if we give them the opportunity to work remotely and at the same time give in general people some motives to go back to these small towns or villages i strongly believe that it will happen. I have seen it already happening but if any government help with that many more will follow.

I really don't get why this isn't happening and at the same time we keep on complaining that we are facing issues like that. Either some people don't want it to happen for their own agenda or simply they haven't thought about it. What do you think is the case? We can literally save money, invest in our other cities and make our people happy.

In my case, i would seriously thinking of moving to a village or a small town in the near future start to try out this life and see whether or not i prefer it. A friend of mine has already done that and he is loving it. Another friend of mine tried it but he prefers the choices he has in a big city. All i am saying is give people the chance to live their lives where they want to live!
