How To Setup Metamask With Polygon Network!
'Very Soon' is Now but How?
In order to prepare yourself for the $1 Million #polycub airdrop & launch, the first thing all of us would need to do is to set up the Polygon Network on Metamask. Just like we set it up for Binance Smart Chain (BSC) before the Cub Finance Launch last year. That was the first time I tried any DeFi platform. That was also the first time I used metamask. It seemed tough and confusing at that time. One year later, it's a piece of a fucking cake now. ;)
So in this blog, I will tell you how to set up Metamask with Polygon Network in two simple ways. You can choose any one of them.
Manual
After installing the Metamask extension and creating a fresh account, you will be able to login with the ETH network by default. Please follow the steps to add polygon network:
- Open Metamask and click on the dropdown that says - "Ethereum Mainnet" or "Binance Smart Chain
- Click on the "Add Network" button to add a new network.
- Enter the details as shown and click "Save" to complete the setup:
Network Name - Polygon Mainnet New RPC URL - https://polygon-rpc.com Chain ID - 137 Currency Symbol - MATIC Block Explorer URL - https://polygonscan.com/

Please check the URL before connecting your Metamask to any website

At the end of the page, you will see this button:
- Click on it, follow the steps in metamask, and you are done.
Please try both methods and let me know if they work for you! In order to transact on Polygon, you need to pay fees in MATIC. 1 MATIC is enough to do thousands of basic transactions. It is cheaper and faster than Ethereum so you are good to go. ✌️
