HIVE is what I do for at least 3-4 hours a day. It was started on the day I made this account. Also, from the day 'ONE' I have been trying to solve this problem:

I am sure many of the new users are struggling with the same problem. It's important for me because I spend a lot of time creating my blogs. I want an ROI on my efforts which I make in researching, designing & finally creating graphics. I also want an ROI on the tools & methods I use every day to do my work efficiently. First I want to learn and acquire a set of skills. Next would be to use those skills and teach people the same.

The Souvenir

After spending a month on the platform, I got my first ever 'HIVE TIP' from @acidyo. ๐Ÿ˜Ž To top it up, he followed my account as well.

I turned this whole moment of Glory from @acidyo into a transaction on the Blockchain forever. Added 1.000 HIVE into savings and locked it there till the end of my life.

Backstory

A few days ago, while I was scrolling through the trending section on Hive, I saw one post by @acidyo where he asked the community to recommend some great newbie Authors. Luckily you could nominate yourself if you joined the platform in the last 6 months and mention the reason 'why' he should follow you.

At this point, I could see it as a great opportunity to solve my problem of being "visible" to a larger part of the community. I don't follow many new users myself since I am a new user myself. So I had no one else but myself to recommend. ๐Ÿ˜Ž If you think that's selfish, then so be it. You do not get such opportunities every day. So, I took some time and wrote a 513 words comment to his post:

Before publishing my comment I could see so many responses with hundreds of great recommendations and I thought my comment would die beneath those. I did it anyway with a ray of HOPE. The next day when I came online, I saw a juicy 1 HIVE Tip on my comment, with an upvote of appreciation and a notification about him following my account. He also curated one of my latest blogs at that time. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Thank you so much @acidyo for so much love all at once. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Why Does It Matter?

@acidyo is a curator & the founder of one of the biggest curation Projects on Hive i.e @OCD which rewards exceptional, superior quality content. It's a huge deal for me when the creator of such a project follows me. I got a new follower and that too an important one. So I had to make a souvenir out of it.

I have noticed many times that a lot of high-quality posts on the trending page have been curated by @OCD and their accounts. They also provide decent APR on Hive Power delegation to the project and many users are supporting it. Win-win-win for the authors, investors, and the curators.

Newbies, Please Mind This

In order to solve the "Visibility" problem, as a new user, you can follow these 4 steps to create an impact on your Hive Journey. I am taking my "Souvnier" experience as an example to explain these steps:

Finding Opportunities

Find an opportunity that can help you to reach more people on HIVE. For example - a blog post that you came across, found interesting, took the time to go through it while spending your precious time. It would be an injustice if you did not let the author know about how you feel after going through their post. So comment as much as you can, you will get upvotes from random folks you don't even know. Who knows you might throw some valuable input that could help someone. HIVE gives the ability to reward people who provide value. So, find genuine & enough chances to make 'comments', it will make someone's day for sure. Another great example would be - "Contests". HIVE has a lot of them going on at any moment. Use tags like #contest, #competition & #challenge to find them. I have personally taken part in so many of them and they are rewarding even if you don't win. They provide you a chance to become visible on the platform.

Planning

Grab opportunities like a 4-month-old baby & use them like a mature adult. You need to understand that 'just' commenting 'Nice one' on other's posts is not enough. Take a moment to analyze the situation you are in and then go for it. For example - once I saw @acidyo's post, I started thinking about how to maximize my chances of grabbing his attention & how to present myself so that I get noticed. I took enough time to write down my thoughts and structured them in such a way that could quickly speak about my intentions. Planning is the key!

Massive Action

Once you are clear with what you have to do, take massive action. I took on the challenge and made a comment giving my brief introduction and what I do. I also mentioned the kind of content I create and my plans for the future. In the end, I added another valuable part to the comment i.e. How do I add value to HIVE/Leo Finance.

Compound

On HIVE you get the rewards when someone upvotes your content or comment. These rewards are so valuable because you can power them up and upvote someone else. Curation is also rewarding so once your power grows, curation rewards will grow automatically. The more you create, power up, and curate, the more you earn. That's the power of compounding your HIVE Rewards. It also helps you to build a little more influence on the platform. With more influence comes more followers and hence more visibility. If you manage this endless loop well, you can grow exponentially on the platform with a lot more exposure & rewards.

The HIVE souvenir by @acidyo is a reminder of my achievement in grabbing someone's attention. So, if you are a newbie in HIVE Town, you can easily earn your initial followers and HIVE through this step-by-step method. May you get your souvenir soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€

I hope you learned something from this post and find it valuable. I will keep on sharing my experiences and knowledge with all of you from time to time. Please consider upvoting and reblogging if you want to support me. Follow me for more of such content.
