I am back home after traveling for over a month covering different places in India. Sorry if I missed any of your comments or messages. Took my family on our longest ride till date. ๐Ÿ˜‚ We took airplanes, buses, rental cars, taxis, trains, scooters, motorbikes, rickshaws, and whatnot to move from one place to another. For my wife and little one, it was a vacation but for me, it was business as usual. That's the beauty and sin of being an internet entrepreneur. Work will not leave you if you have an internet connection and a device to communicate with the world. That's why the last destination before coming back home was in the mountains. โค๏ธ

I would be lying if I say the bear didn't hit me. Had to spend some good time reshuffling my portfolio and managing my funds for investments. Traveling, doing business, and showing up on Hive every day was a little tougher than I imagined but I didn't do bad:

  • 45 days away from home, published 27 blog posts within that time frame.
  • Showed up almost every day and kept commenting except for the last 4-5 days.
  • Launched @documentinghive project on Twitter
  • Crushed 10K Leo Power Goal and gearing up for 15k
  • Won the Leo Mobile App Store Layout design contest

The past two months were eventful, refreshing and a huge learning experience for me. Meticulous planning and then, intense execution. Didn't like it coinciding with the crypto crash but even that made me a hard person on the inside. Your break the muscles every day and rebuild them one by one. Keep taking your protein xD For me, traveling is. Now I am ready to crush this bear and grow my wealth and knowledge so that I am in a much better position during the bull. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€ The time I took off was also used to reflect on my crypto journey so far and prepare for the upcoming months and years.

Another milestone that I achieved after my last post was hitting 70 Reputation Score. Yayy! It feels like I have gained the wisdom of a 70-year-old human being. xD (still a kid at heart) Surreal! I didn't imagine hitting it so soon. Took me 18 moons to reach here. Welcome me to the 70s club guys. ๐Ÿ˜

Many people would argue that the reputation system on Hive is worthless because you can easily game it. Circle jerking and self-upvotes make it irrelevant in its current form. Moreover, due to vote-buying before HF25 that made vote bots irrelevant, the damage was already done and a lot of people could push their rep past 70 due to that. But now, Hive does a great job of shutting down such abuse to a great extent.

For me, rep score is an indication of the time spent posting content and making comments. If a person is past 70, they have done a lot of stuff. xD Doesn't matter how much time was taken. 70+ is great on their report card. Obviously, exceptions are there as always!

I don't know the math but it matters on these two factors:

  • the reputation of the voter
  • the reward shares(rshares) of the voter

rshares are dependent on the HP of the voter. In simple terms, the higher the reputation & rshares of the voter, the higher effect their upvote will have on your rep. I don't have any rep goals for this year but a 75+ would be great to hit. Let's see how much time it will take me to do that.

How are you doing this bear guys? Do you have any rep goals? Please comment below! Let's talk.
