December Power Up Day Delegations
When we looked at powering up for December, Hive had reached an ATH. But then, you know, there's an old and true expression: what goes up, must come down. And so it has been with Hive in the last week or so.
So, let's look on the bright side:
The bottom hasn't quite fallen out and the price is another reason to HODL and power up.
Back to the business of this post, and first:
For those not familiar with what I warbling about each month, and after @traciyork has published the official results for the new month's Power Up Day, I delegate 100 Hive to 3 accounts that participated in the initiative.
Why I do this?
It's a combination of paying it forward and walking the talk.

A reminder about my delegations - if you didn't follow the link...
Each month, I set aside 300 HP that I delegate an equal share among three accounts that meet the basic Power Up Day Criteria.
In my case, though, and given my focus on redfish, the accounts must also be -
- be less than 6 months old
- have **at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day.
Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit. As a reminder, the reason I added the second criterion is because - Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out.- a reputation of less than 61
- not more than 500 HP in their accounts before** they power up - both on the first of the month
Qualifying accounts for December
Unlike the last couple of months, the number of eligible accounts was significantly down, and after applying my additional criteria -
- have at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day, i.e. since 1 November; and that the posts do have 200 words or more (in English - because I'd like to be able to engage...) and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.
This time there were five eligible accounts. While I'd like to have supported all five, I need to temper my largess and because she's twice had delegations from me, I'm sorry @samsmith1971, I excluded you. That said, you still are still in my fanbase and I'll pop over from time to time. Please carry on doing what you do - you're doing great things! For those of you who haven't go and check her out her blog and the initiatives *she runs for her fellow redfish.

I have also consistently said that I keep an eye open, and will support Hiveans who are members of the Silver Bloggers' Community. This month, there is one, and she gets my fourth and discretionary delegation.

But that's not all
Remember that in addition to the delegations, @phendx, @coquicoin, @x-rain and @ivycrafts have all been added to my fanbase and receive a daily 100% upvote; I also ask @ginabot to notify me each time they post. If I have an opportunity, I pop over and have a gander and occasionally weigh in on whatever the post may be about.
