There are many different reasons why NFTs can have value. At first it might be just people parking their money in them, to show off, wash-trade, speculate. Others collect rare items from their favorite artists. And then NFT-Fi happens and you start earning for holding various NFTs. This market seems like a bubble but there is much more to it that meets the eye.
