The next great flip?

I already wrote a bit about the second release of the Black Flag series and what a mess it was for the consumer.

The prices were inflated very quickly and the 1oz already doubled in price on eBay if you got in right away.

Feels almost like an ICO back in 2017, which is especially crazy as the collector market is moving waaayy slower usually.

The 5 oz on the other hand is not selling at the moment which is understandable as not too many people are keen to pay 60€ per ounce of silver regardless how good the coin is looking.

I am tracking the supply and prices of a couple of dealers and there was no change in the last 3 days. Regardless the price on eBay.de went up from the only listing there is.

Otherwise I can`t find the coin in Germany anymore under 385€ (was 300€ at release). But there are several cheaper on eBay.com.

Somehow this little detective work is a lot of fun for me and I really enjoy it so far. I am really curious how this coin will age over the years but it seems the collector market is too small for such high premiums.

Do you like small mintages? Is it important to you when buying a collector coin? I know the 1st release of the Black Flag was well liked here as well, would you like it as much if they had an unlimited mintage instead of just 15k?
