The Australian silver coins are fantastic and I love them. They usually have reasons related to nature and especially with its rich fauna.

One of the emblems known to all of Australia are the Koalas. Those little marsupials that both adults and children like. Although contrary to what is thought, they are not very nice animals, but their tender appearance has given them a good reputation.

There are many Australian silver coins with the iconography of Koalas but I have chosen the "1 oz Australian Silver Koala Coin (BU) 2016" because it shows the Koala walking on a branch which is not the most common image.

This is an affordable and quite common coin, it has a circulation of 300,000 pieces.

On the obverse we can see the image of Queen Elizabeth II, which is very typical of this type of coin. It is a high quality print designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

On the reverse we can enjoy the engraving of a beautiful Koala walking on a branch. The fur detail is wonderful and of high quality. You can also see the weight of the coin and its purity, as well as the P sign of the Perth Mint mint.
