LEO&HODL Contest - Dont miss LeoFinance Sprint Quest ($10k Prize)

If you have been around lately in Leofinance community, you should know about the Project Blank and Threads that have transformed microblogging on then blockchain. In order to create awareness for threads and reach more new users, we did a quest (sort of gamified marketing) which ended on 1st March 2023. Participants got involved in daily tasks and at the end, each top 15 participant won either some Liquid Leo or Leo power delegation.

Once the first Quest was completed, another Quest called Sprint was planned by the Leo community with even bigger price tag, a whopping $10,000 prize. If you missed the first quest, you should not miss this one. The team has announced that this Sprint will kick off by 5th April, 2023. But before then, we have a few things to talk about this upcoming project.

What I expect from Sprint

I was a participant of the previous Quest and I ended in top 5 position. I went through all the tasks and eventually got my winners prize too. That quest was huge, but I expect even something bigger from Sprint in the following areas:

Participants: I expect Sprint to have more participants than the previous quest. This is because a lot of new users have been invited to Crew3 and they will likely be part of Sprint. The Leo team has encouraged even more people to be invited too ahead of kickoff date. So definitely, sprint will have more participants.
Tasks: I expect more tasks to be completed each day by the participants. I also expect the tasks to be harder than some of those we did in the previous quest. Of course to whom much is given, much is expected. With a really high prize of $10k, I expect that participants would be asked to do tasks that are a bit harder than what we did previously.
Result: Sprint will be a bigger marketing campaign. So I expect it to turn in a bigger result too. The previous quest exposed a lot of people to Threads and Project Blank. Am sure Sprint will enlarge on that number and target the 5000 MAU which the Leo team has been targeting.

Creating more awareness for Sprints

Before Sprint starts next month, we need to let me people know about it. Its important to spread the word. So I suggest we promote sprint in Twitter and other social media. Its great to publish more threads about it. We can also try to onboard more new users from other communities and let them know about Sprint. It would not be bad if the Leo team or Lions in the Pride to organize mini-contests about Sprints. Through these means, I am sure we can reach more people with word about Sprints.

My Plan and how others should prepare for Sprints

Right now, I am getting ready for sprints. One of the suggestions that I am doing already is to invite more users to Crew3. I am doing that already. I will also make a couple more posts to let my group know about Sprint. While the Sprint may not include powering up, I have powered up more 500 leo to increase my staking to 18k LP, this way, I can support more Sprint participants with votes.

For others to prepare for Sprint, they need to join Crew3 now if they have not already done so. I have encouraged people I onboarded to try and become a kitten in the Leoverse. Happily, @marajah is not a Kitten, @ijelady has approached 3k LP, @luchyl will soon become a kitten, and @herculeand will make it before April 5th. @sammyhive is already a kitten too. These are people I onboarded and brought to Crew3. They are all getting ready for Sprint.

LeoFinance before and After Sprint

A lot is going to change before and after Sprint and those make it all exciting. The dev team is really working hard to add more features to The Alpha version of Threads. So a lot of functionality will be added before sprint. Also, it is possible that the Alpha version of Threads would be migrated to the main domain leofinance.com/threads. These are things that could change in the ecosystem before Sprint.

After Sprint has been concluded, we will see more new users embrace Threads and join the ecosystem. Basically, the monthly active users will grow and possibly more development work will be done in other aspects of the Everything app. These are changes I hope to see after Sprint is over.

Quests versus Sprint Rewards

Since I joined Leofinance last November, Sprint is the biggest prize I have ever seen of any marketing reward project. The Quest that ended in first March cannot even compare with this Sprint reward. The last Quest gave out 100k LP delegations and 10k Liquid Leo. I think the last quest was around $5k in Prize, but Sprint is $10k. So Sprint has a very huge prize for participants.

Last Quest Tasks

The last quest had so many tasks for participant to complete. I will say more than 70% of the tasks are not difficult. In fact, most of the tasks are what we already do on the blockchain - comment on a post, reblog, follow people on social media, and other things. These are not hard at all.

For me, the hardest tasks are the ones that involve referring people and getting them to join Crew3. I stopped at referring 10 persons. There was a task for inviting 20 frens and more. Those are the hard ones. Except that, the other tasks are not difficult.

Suggested Quest tasks for Sprint

Let 5 invitees publish at least 1 thread for 30 days: Invited frens need to be active thread contributors to boost our monthly active users.
Create a poll and have at least 10 persons respond to it: Polls is a great feature just added to Threads. We need to create more awareness for it by getting people to use it or participate in polls.
Make a post and describe the best new feature of threads: New users need to learn more about the possibilities on Threads. This quest will help sample the opinion of users on features that are most popular on Thread.

Conclusion

Sprint would be one of the biggest gamified marketing projects for Threads and Project Blank on Hive. I cant wait to see it kick off on 5th April, 2023. Lets get ready now !!!!
