When you identify a project that hit the ground running, it wont be hard to support it well. This is especially true when such a project adds a lot of value to the system - fun, engagement, new audience, and an opportunity to get rewarded for creating short content. Threads is the project I am talking about and its really cool to have it around.

Tomorrow is Leo Power Up day (LPUD). You already know it happens on the 15th of every month. This is the third opportunity to grow your stake by participating in the power up event. A lot of benefits come to those that will power up beyond just the rewards. I have never missed any power up event since I got into Leo finance and I do not have plans to miss any. I have a thousand and one reasons to always power up tomorrow - Threads remain top of the list. Here I reasons why this choice is so easy for me.

Threads is creating new possibilities on Hive

While still an ongoing project, threads has changed the way we engage and connect with other users on Hive. Take a look at 3 things that were not possible before but are now happening through Threads.

  • Uniting Communities and teams: Within my short stay since I returned, and while I was here 2 years ago, I have seen a lot of projects come and go. A good number remained and have added some value to Hive. But I am yet to see a project that opened up the possibility of teams in various communities to come together and collaborate. This is only possible through threads. What we are witnessing as more than 15 communities and teams have now become part of the threads project. This was not possible before.

Threads identified a common element that all hive communities cherish - engagement. Almost all the communities encourage their members to interact with other users and not just to make posts. Of course, beyond blogging, engagement is the foundation of every successful team, group, state or even country. Imagine a company whose staff are not allowed to talk to each other. That would be a calamity. Engagement matters and that was why it was not difficult for many community teams to accept to join the Threads project.

If you are not sure if your favorite community is already on threads, you can check the admin posts made not too long ago. You will definitely find a Threads collaboration announcement post which confirms they are part of the Project.

Many of these communities got a huge delegation of Leo power which enables them to support their members on threads. For example, I post threads about gardens and farming. I make sure to use the #hivegarden tag. The Hive garden community already on Leo looks for threads with this tag and support them if they are about gardening. You can take a look below of one of my gardening threads yesterday:

You can see above that the top account that supported my thread is @hivegardenleo with a vote value of 0.927 Leo. And still talking about the opportunity of engagement which Threads brings, this thread already have a total of 20 interactions. Isn't that amazing?

So where are my farm or gardening lovers? Publish on Threads. Use the hivegarden tag and expect a visit from your community.

  • A safe Haven for short content: Another amazing opportunity brought to us by Threads is the opportunity to publish short content without attracting negative reactions from the community. Before now many of us are aware that 300 words is usually the accepted word length by many communities. Those in art might accept a little lesser wordcount. But no community accepts a post whose word count is 240 characters. You might even start getting downvotes if your posts are that short.

Threads redefined microblogging and gave us the opportunity to publish our stories in bits. It allows us to connect more with our audience since it does not take much effort to make a thread. So the focus would be on reacting to what your audience have replied to your threads. Of course, you can earn from your threads if you are fortunate to get a vote on it. Just check the thumbnail above.

  • Blasting Hive Userbase: Threads has become a gateway for new users to join the platform. The increase in the number of users in leofinance community is testament that this project is not ordinary. Just take a look at the number of active users in Leo finance community below:

1,608 active users? For real? YES!!! Only possible by Threads, and these are just baby steps. In fact, the Leo team is targeting 5000 Monthly active users! You are still an early bird. Be part of this revolution, just remember to thank me 2 years later.

Powering up for Threads

Now you understand why I am powering up tomorrow. The Leo team has done amazingly great in a lot of other projects, but Threads is rare, special and for me, a driver of crypto mass adoption.

Get ready to power up tomorrow. If you are able to power up at least 150 Leo, you stand a chance to win huge prices.
