A little case study here to highlight how important it is to update and ensure the evergreen content that we are linking to is relevant:

So the 'andrei jikh portfolio' keyword has been a high traffic driver to leofinance.io for ages.

Our page 1 position was always the Schubes post featuring that embedded video - The one you've linked to in this report.

His was just one of the first articles talking about Jikh that was published anywhere online, so Google saw it as an authority and accordingly ranked it highly.

But the page had no structure, no subheadings, no text featuring the keywords etc.

So as other domains started creating content related to Andrei Jikh's portfolio, Google started ranking them higher until Schubes post was eventually pushed out.

Now it's completely gone for that keyword. (Search for andrei jikh portfolio on incogneto to see yourself.)

The lesson here is that if we are going to use a post as a cornerstone piece of evergreen content, then we need to make sure the content is optimised, detailed and relevant.

Updating old content doesn't get you paid in LEO rewards because it's outside the 7 day window, but it will help the overall value of your LEO stake.

Search your username in simple analytics to find out which old posts are driving traffic from Google and ensure you keep that post of the highest quality and relevance.
