The sustainability of HBD's move to 20% APR seems to be the question on everyone's lips.

Like you said, it seems as though the current growth rate of HIVE will ensure at least short term sustainability isn't an issue.

Dalz and Task's posts that you've linked to do a great job of discussing why in further technical detail.

But just remember that our elected witnesses can be highly flexible in this regard.

So what if it's not sustainable.

They can just lower the rate again.

If they don't and the community deems them to be harming the chain?

Then they can and will be voted out of the top 20.
