ShapeShift DAO recently launched a way to share profits made on DeFi protocols with its users. The DAO collaborative team creates strategies to increase ShapeShift revenue, but a mechanism to share more efficiently was missing.

With FOXy this limitation disappears.

FOXy is a 1:1 paired token with FOX, i.e. its value directly tracks the ShapeShift DAO governance token.

Through it, DAO can direct users who deposit their FOX to ShapeShift V2 platform rewards received from Tokemak liquidity mining programs.

With this, he keeps the incentives of TOKE, increasing his power in the governance of the protocol, and remunerates FOXers who keep their tokens deposited in the FOX pool.

🤔 How to earn FOXy with my FOX?

  • Connect your wallet to the app. You can use Metamask, KeepKey, Portis or ShapeShift. In today's example, we will use the Metamask

  • Upon connecting, a pop-up will be displayed identifying successful connection.

  • With this, you will be able to access the *dashboard of the platform. In it you can monitor the variation in the value of your funds, analyze the transactions received and your wallet and trading tokens. All this in one place 😉
  • In addition, the platform contains different funds* that will allow you to earn rewards for depositing your tokens. To access this page, go to the DeFi tab, symbolized by the rocket 🚀

  • In this panel, you can see in one place, all the pools in which you are participating.

  • To find the best options for you, go to "Discover Opportunities"

  • Various options will be listed for you to deposit your tokens and receive incentives in return. All of them are Vaults from Yearn Finance, a partner of ShapeShift DAO **- except FOX-. -
    • Through it we were able to offer users sustainable and consolidated APYs in the market.

  • Today we will teach you how to receive FOXy by depositing your FOX!**
  • To do this, click on the first option in the list, FOX 🦊

  • A pop-up window will open with information about FOXy and briefly explaining what it is.
  • Go to "Deposit FOX".

  • The platform will automatically recognize your FOX balance. Enter the amount you want to bet or the percentage of your capital you want to allocate to the FOXy pool.

  • Upon choosing the amount, an estimate of annualized income will be calculated on your FOX deposit. Currently, FOX's pool distributes ~12% p.a. on FOX.
  • After confirming the amount and income, click "Continue".

  • In order to deposit your FOX on the V2 platform, you will need to approve the ShapeShift DAO contract interaction. Therefore confirm the approval with your Metamask.
    • You will have to pay fees for interacting with the block chain. The platform makes a budget so that you are aware of the cost of the transaction. In the example above, the cost was $7.

  • Once the interaction is approved, all that remains is to confirm the deposit. You will be shown a summary of the transaction, which contains:
    • Amount received in FOXy when depositing FOX - the same amount -.
    • Address of your ShapeShift DAO wallet and contract
    • Annual income in FOX when making the *stake of your tokens.
    • Estimated cost of the fees involved in the transaction. This will vary depending on l use of the Ethereum blockchain. - It is recommended to follow the moments with the lowest volume of transactions. A useful tool to identify is Ethercan*

  • With the confirmation of the transaction, **your FOX will already be giving you passive returns*!
  • To see your investment on the platform, click on "View position".

  • You will be redirected to the DeFi tab overview, which contains information about your FOX deposit and pool, such as current value and annual earnings on FOX.

Remember: after depositing, you still retain the same proportion of the deposit at FOXy.

Currently, this balance has the function of tracking your participation in the protocol and giving you the annualized income directly in your wallet.*

*No need to withdraw winnings, just let the FOXys build value in your wallet!

  • Ir a "Depositar FOX".

  • La plataforma reconocerá automáticamente tu saldo FOX. Ingrese la cantidad que desea apostar o el porcentaje de su capital que desea asignar al grupo FOXy.

  • Al elegir el monto, se calculará una estimación de ingresos anualizados sobre su depósito FOX. Actualmente, el pool de FOX distribuye ~12% p.a. en FOXy.
  • Después de confirmar la cantidad y los ingresos, haga clic en "Continuar".

  • ¡Con la confirmación de la transacción, **tu FOX ya te estará brindando rentabilidad pasiva*!
  • Para ver su inversión en la plataforma, haga clic en "Ver posición".

  • Se le redirigirá a la descripción general de la pestaña DeFi, que contiene información sobre su depósito del FOXy pool, como el valor actual y los ingresos anuales en FOX.

Recuerde: después de depositar, aún retiene la misma proporción del depósito en FOXy.

Actualmente, este saldo tiene la función de rastrear su participación en el protocolo y brindarle los ingresos anualizados directamente en su billetera.*

*No necesita retirar las ganancias, ¡solo deje que los FOXys acumulen valor en su billetera!
