🌉 Banxa: building bridges between traditional finance and DeFi

💸 How to buy ETH with PIX on the ShapeShift platform

  • Connect your wallet to the website.

  • The platform allows the use of the native wallet of Metamask, XDEFI, Portis, KeepKey and ShapeShift -compatible with BTC, Cosmos and Ethereum-.
    • In today's tutorial, we will use Metamask.

  • By connecting your wallet to the platform, you will be redirected to the Control Panel. In it, you can see all your transactions, the performance of your portfolio over time, and trade tokens on Ethereum.

  • At the top right of the page you will find the Buy/Sell Cryptocurrency button. Click on it.

  • Three options will be displayed when clicked: Banxa, GEM and Onjuno. Go to Buy in Banxa option.

    • When selected, the page will show you two alternatives: Buy or Sell cryptocurrencies. Right below, you can choose the asset.
      • We will show you how to acquire ETH.

  • When entering the option to choose the cryptocurrency to acquire, write ETH in the search field and click on Ethereum.

  • You will be shown a confirmation about the asset to be purchased and the address that will receive the cryptocurrencies. The connected wallet address is entered automatically, but you can enter another address for yourself or someone else.

  • When you click Continue, you will be redirected to a payment processing page in Banxa. Pay attention to certain details.
    • The minimum purchase amount is R$ 190.00.
    • Go to Select payment service to use PIX as a means of payment. The fee to acquire using it is 0%.

  • Once the amount and payment method have been defined, go to Create Order.

  • You will need to enter your email address and mobile phone number. This information will be used to confirm the transaction. Confirm reading Banxa's Terms and Conditions and press Continue.

  • Banxa will send an SMS to confirm your mobile number, sent instantly after turning to the next page. Enter the digits in the available field and click Verify.

  • Fill in the fields with your personal information and go to Send Verification

  • Banxa requires the upload of a document to identify users, since intermediaries request clients.
    • It is a standard requirement, which complies with the protocol to comply with regulatory obligations
  • You can choose between Passport, RG - Identification Card - or Driver's License -. In the tutorial, we're going to use an ID.
  • Remember that for photos to be accepted:
    • Your document cannot be expired.
    • All four corners of the document must be visible.
    • The text must be legible.
    • Your face must appear on the document.

  • It's time for selfies 😉 Take a photo of yourself holding your document and upload it to Banxa

  • Enter your CPF in the available field and click Submit

  • Banxa will bring important information about its operation with PIX:
    • The PIX account must be the same as the CPF filled in on the platform
    • The purchase of cryptocurrencies will be made immediately after payment, but they will only be sent as soon as the money is in your Banxa account, which may take 1 business day.
    • To make the payment, you will be redirected to a page, where you must use your bank's application.
  • Once you have understood all the details, click Continue

  • A QR Code will be available for you to scan with your cell phone and make the PIX, effectively making the purchase of cryptocurrencies.

    • When you scan, you will see that the recipient of the payment is called WebPay Brasil Pagamentos Ltda. Don't worry: it is Banxa's transaction processor in Brazil.

  • After making the PIX, click Back to return to Banxa.

  • After completing all the identification and payment steps through PIX, just wait for your cryptos to be deposited in your wallet. In the image above, you can see that 3 criteria must be met:

    • Payment: transfer via PIX
    • Identity: Upload of personal identification documents
    • Compliance: review of the purchase order made. The latter can take up to 1 business day to complete.

💸 Cómo comprar ETH con PIX en la plataforma ShapeShift

  • Conecte su billetera al sitio web.

  • Complete los campos con su información personal y vaya a Enviar Verificación

  • Banxa requiere la carga de un documento para identificar a los usuarios, ya que los intermediarios solicitan clientes.

    • La compra de criptomonedas se realizará inmediatamente después del pago, pero solo se enviarán tan pronto como el dinero esté en su cuenta Banxa, lo que puede demorar 1 día hábil.
    • Para realizar el pago, será redirigido a una página, donde deberá utilizar la aplicación de su banco.
  • Una vez que haya entendido todos los detalles, haga clic en Continuar

  • Estará disponible un Código QR para que lo escanees con tu celular y realices el PIX, efectuando efectivamente la compra de criptomonedas.

    • Cuando escanee, verá que el destinatario del pago se llama WebPay Brasil Pagamentos Ltda. No se preocupe: es el procesador de transacciones de Banxa en Brasil.

  • Después de realizar el PIX, haz clic en Atrás para volver a Banxa.

  • Después de completar todos los pasos de identificación y pago a través de PIX, solo espere a que sus criptos se depositen en su billetera. En la imagen de arriba, puedes ver que se deben cumplir 3 criterios:

    • Pago: transferencia vía PIX
    • Identidad: carga de documentos de identificación personal
