As a new form of organization, DAO can carry out the same activities in a simpler way, guided by decisions of its community. With the airdrop of the FOX Token in 2021, ShapeShift gave its holders the power to present solutions, develop initiatives, and manage the organization's funds - all transparently and on-chain***.
In this new model, the Workflows are organized internally to contribute to the DAO: Marketing, Treasury Management and Diversification, Products, among others.
The former sectors of ShapeShift AG became workflows, run by community-engaged individuals who share the same goals as the DAO. All salaries, working hours and responsibilities are openly discussed in the organization's forum. Outsiders interested in submitting proposals to improve processes or design new ones are free to join Discord discussions and share their ideas.

In this new way of organizing, not even Erik Voorhees, ex-CEO, can deny or approve proposals in the DAO. However, DAOs are not perfect. To think that they have no problems is a utopian and frivolous vision.
