Welcome dear readers, today I am going to talk a little bit about the implementation of a new Monetary Cone, its consequences in practice for those of us who live in Venezuela. And once again, to make clear how incredible it is that officially we are the economy with the lowest wages on the planet and with IMF estimates of being even less prosperous than the economy of Haiti, a country where there are usually multiple natural disasters compared to one whose policies never attack the real problem, although we could also say that it is due to a natural disaster, which happens when corruption and social decomposition reaches such levels..... I don't want to get too political with the subject but well, there will be a bit of harsh comments on this one folks, an apology in advance.

The decomposition of a currency and its eventual death happens when it ceases to be a reliable means to save and to be used as a method of exchange in furniture or real estate, however the Bolivar, as only the Bolivar itself, has been devalued so many times that sincerely I find it hard to remember how the bills were before, in my childhood, and it is not for less, there have been so many "changes" in the national currency, not to say aggressive devaluations in recent years, Today, a new monetary cone is already circulating in the streets of the country, another foolish attempt to "heal" the economy, when the immediate effect was that the heads of transportation and pedestrian travel, which are the buses, stopped accepting a bill that until months ago were not so easy to get.

Every time a new monetary cone is introduced, the direct consequence is the displacement of the previous one, eliminating it, due to inflation and the printing of the new bills, a perpetual cycle where the "rulers" of these lands, have never been interested in attacking in any other way, nothing that surprises me in a place where the theft of funds is something that is not surprising. It fills you with impotence when they tell you that they are not going to accept these bills and you have to beg for them to receive them, because it is your only salvation from a long walk home, and in these times, that can cost you long nights in a cell, or even your life, if along the way you run with the bad luck that the Covid, ends up finding you as their new guest.

To no one's surprise, all this is nothing more than the result of some of the worst economic nightmares that ever existed, where well, we can largely say that we lead many Anti-records with the lowest salary on the planet, the highest estimated corruption and all that being once one of the most prosperous countries in the continent.... Too bad I can only be guided by books and not by real experiences to bring you a better vision of how different those times were, looking for information about my country is somewhat frustrating and is something that most of us avoid so as not to fall into the usual sadness of having to go through such hard times, pandemic included. One would like to believe that officially no one earns this salary, that no one can have such a low income, and even less being monthly or biweekly? But it's just a reality that sometimes we try to think about, but it's out there, in someone's shoes, in someone's house.... That reminds me of a sad little experience, that brings me back to that reality, but that it will be better not to tell because it has nothing to do with the topic of economy, as long as new real solutions are not implemented, 1 dollar, will continue to be worth more, than gathering every bill of the new monetary cone. A disaster that I do not wish to any country ever. No entire population deserves to go through something like this.

Thanks for reading, I think I let a little bit of frustration go into this whole post, if it's a little out of place, please forgive me, but it was something I wanted to write about and get off my chest in the process. Take care friends.
