Last year, Hive had a tremendous amount of momentum going its way with all of the PR surrounding the hostile take-over of Steem. With so much attention, as well as a price rally due to HIVE being listed on all the big exchanges right from the start (something that would usually only happen as a result of a token being seriously hyped, highly anticipated, and with some serious financial backing, but in HIVE's case happen mostly due to big exchanges owing the community that favor following what they enabled to take place on Steem).

HIVE has seen some decent gains recently, finally starting to catch up with the recent bull. Can it signal the beginning of new positive momentum for the blockchain?

However, we didn't really make the most of that to attract and retain new users, developers, and investors. One could blame many things, such as a rather poor utilization of the DHF, but I would argue that it also just happened to be difficult due to there being so much else that needed to be done to ensure a successful new chain.

Now price is on the rise again, finally, following Bitcoin's (and Ethereum's) recent bull moves. People are looking up terms like "blockchain", "crypto", as well as how to make money with it, how to get into it, etc. This is obviously another chance for Hive to attract new users, investors, and talent, as well as improving its name recognition. The same obviously goes for all the apps and projects here.

So how can Hive do better this time around? Are we better prepared to make the most of it than we were one year ago? I've stated recently that I believe improving communications is one key room for improvement, as well as an enabler for other work to have more impact (through being made more visible). But what else do you believe it needs?

One way or another now is a great time to ideat what the community can do to direct as many new people to Hive. And IMO, it is the perfect chain for it. I remember a statement someone made 3 years ago that "Steem was a gateway to crypto". I still believe this is a great idea. With people looking to learn about cryptocurrency in general , Hive can be a place to come and learn regardless of what tokens people catch interest in. (Please, let's stop with the purism).

This is where LeoFinance can be the difference-maker. It is exactly that, a gateway to crypto where people simply come to learn about it. If this can be done with SEO friendly articles that attract new readers, and an engaging community that works well to retain them, then it could be the perfect way to utilize this new crypto momentum taking place right now. That's one reason why I will be trying to make sure I write at least two SEO friendly articles here per week (trying to aim less at the existing Hive community, which I feel too many of us have been doing for years), and instead focus on topics that I know people outside this bubble are also interested in.

Hopefully, I can get a few of the people I know with an expertise in related subjects to sign up and do the same ;).
