It is no news to a lot of people that this two giant Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos of SpaceX and Blue Origin respectively are two competitors in the technological and space race. The two billionaires have been in a tussle for a while now as they are competing in almost everything from loop train travel, electric automated vehicle, artificial intelligence and robotics and most importantly space. The race to space has been the major reason for the two companies being at loggerhead and it is no doubt that SpaceX is ahead currently.

SpaceX this year sent two NASA astronauts to earth orbit, the International Space Station to be precise making it the first privately owned Space Company to send humans to space while Jeff Bezos Blue Origin hasn’t launched a rocket to space at all except for its shepherd rocket which has only gone to the boundary between earth and space but not into orbit. SpaceX wants to colonize Mars as Elon Musk believes that humans are interplanetary beings and should be able to live on any planet and his target is Mars. He fears for the lives of humans being in danger in the nearest future due to climate change and attack from space (maybe an asteroid) but this isn’t the same for Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos actually wants to go into space and colonize it having a colony of highly improved technologized humans on space. Jeff Bezos is majorly targeting the moon and want to get resources from the moon.

Also, Elon Musk has been able to test his reusable rocket for launch which has helped in reducing the amount spent to send a kg or anything to space which wasn’t like this in the past. In the past Rockets were disposed after using once but this time it isn’t like that for Elon Musk as he already launched reusable rockets to space and just like you would have thought, Jeff Bezos would be launching his reusable rocket in 2021. Also SpaceX is developing more rockets to carry people to

Although this two companies have been pushing the space race a lot, I tend to like the two founders and really do love their passion for space. I would not like to see this as a space competition between the two companies, moreover we still have Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic which is another space company. Space is big enough with infinite possibilities and this possibilities can’t be mined by just one company. There is room for everyone.
