Here we are at the time of another Hive Power Up Day, the second one this year.

These Power Up Days started to grow on me a lot, to the point I haven't missed one in a while, neither for HIVE nor for LEO (I haven't missed any for LEO, but they have a much shorter history).

For HIVE, I haven't missed one since October last year, which is probably a very short track record compared to others. Before that time, I used to have the habit of powering up any day of the month I saw fit.

But since October, I powered up 1000 HIVE every month except for December, when my HIVE Power goal for 2022 was already achieved. By the size of the HiveBuzz bee, I powered up more than 100 HIVE in December too, nonetheless.

I continued with 1000 HIVE powered up on HPUD this year too, even though I have a different kind of goal that combines HP and HBD this year, which would allow me to be less consistent.

But as long as the price of HIVE (or HBD) is favorable, I will continue with the same routine as much as possible. If HIVE gets close to or above $1 I will switch to HBD and that will most likely interrupt the streak of power-ups during HPUD, at least of consistent amounts.

The higher the price will go, even for levels between 50 cents and 75 cents, the more difficulties I'll have to keep this streak too. Maybe I'll switch to a lower monthly power-up amount then. We'll see.

Anyway, for this month I took advantage of the pump in the price of HBD we had a few days ago and swapped some HBD for HIVE at a much better rate than I would have expected for this HPUD.

And that made the 1000 HIVE power-up a little easier this month.

That brings my total HP to 27114. That's already a little over 2000 more HP than at the start of the year, even though I don't have an HP target per se, but only in combination with HBD in savings.

Happy HIVE Power Up Day! :)
