287 LEO Powered Up for LPUD! And some unrelated HBD and HIVE thoughts.

As I'm listening to Task and Jon rant about Web 2 people on Hive (yeah, on Hive), I am also multitasking.

And since today is LEO Power Up Day, I staked all my liquid LEO, which amounted to 287 LEO.

That brings my total staked LEO to 12858 LP.

Interestingly, it's the first time I see the dollar amount attached to my LEO holdings in a long time.

I don't even know how much LEO is worth in dollars (this information is very prominent on the Leofinance interface, but I'm not in the habit of checking it). It was once 1$ and it may reach that point again. I know how much LEO is in HIVE, or at least how much it was about two weeks ago when I last purchased it.

For a long time, I wanted the option to price stuff on Hive-Engine in HBD. I still do, because of its stability compared to the unit of account that USD still is for most of the world, and which is good for the cash flow management of businesses on Hive.

But noticing how I remember prices of tokens in HIVE because there isn't an alternative on Hive-Engine, maybe that's a way to transform HIVE into a unit of account. Although I still think that's the role HBD should fill in. HIVE (and especially HIVE Power) already have enough roles.

So, back to LPUD. I am at 12858 LP at the half of March. Still a long way to 13500 by the end of the month.
