Are you a patient or impatient person?

I believe patience and impatience come with various degrees and no one is 100% patient or 100% impatient.

It also depends depends on the context.

For example, if I'm not tired, I'm a patient person in a conversation, listen and respond. Others have the habit of talking over the person they "converse" with. That's impatience. If I'm tired, I also become impatient and need to cut the conversation short.

Do you know the famous marshmallow experiment?

In that experiment, every child that participated was offered one marshmallow immediately, or two marshmallows if they waited for a while ("delayed gratification").

During the experiment, the interviewer stepped out of the room for a few minutes, after leaving the marshmallow in front of the child.

After follow-up studies, it seems that many of the children who waited patiently for the second marshmallow, performed better in life than those who eat the first marshmallow.

I probably would have waited for the second one.

But here's something I'm terribly impatient on. Standing. Not walking, standing. Whether it's a slow moving line or an outside concert, my patience is and will always be tested.

On investments I believe experience taught me to choose the patience model through a series of hard lessons. I used to be all over the place and jumping from asset to asset. The only ones profiting were the trading platforms, not me, who kept losing from this inconsistency and attempts to catch pumps as they happened. Wow, so many and big mistakes! I can't believe I'm still in the game after all that stuff. Now I'm zen! I don't even excite as much when I should about great returns, lol.

How about you, when is your patience tested? Do you consider yourself rather patient or impatient?

Here's a hint: if you're asking 'wen wen wen' all the time and not like a joke, you're probably more impatient than patient on that particular topic. ;)
