It is the half of 2022 already. I saw that in somebody else's goals post on Listnerds (I think it was on @mypathtofire's post), or I wouldn't have noticed it.

It's time to take a look at my Hive goals from a higher distance, for a broader view.

Before we start, I believe a look at the bitcoin chart this year is important, for context.

The year starts from the vertical line. Anything in the grayish area is from 2021. At the beginning of the year, bitcoin was a little above 48k.

I didn't set my goals at 48k bitcoin, but probably around 45k or something like that.

It's interesting that 48k was bitcoin's highest price this year, also reached at the end of March, but not crossed.

My initial Hive goals for 2022 were:

  • 25000 HP
  • 5000 HBD

Even if this wouldn't turn out to be the year when the bear hit with full force, having both these goals at the same time and both almost impossible to achieve without using external funds was a mistake.

I started with practically no HBD, so I needed to increase that balance. At the same time, as the bear market deepened, it was harder to get by HBD, and that amount would be more useful if turned into HIVE at the right time. So I finally gave up on my HBD goal... for this year.

At the same time, the bear market and the airdrop hit Splinterlands assets too, and I wasn't able to use them to push for my HIVE and HBD goals.

And I had Splinterlands goals too, which I finally included in these reports, I think in April.

Two goals were added after people challenged me to do it, I thought about it and I agreed. One is represented by my social goals, to reach 10k comments and 10k replies this year, which turns out to be the most reliable and easy-to-reach goal, although I was reluctant at first.

The other is my LEO staking goal (10k by the year's end), which is the most recent addition.

I learned a valuable lesson, after setting the goals the way I did. It's very important to make sure the goals are realistic both separate and together when you set them. I didn't pay enough attention to the interactions and interdependencies between my goals, a mistake I don't intend to make in the future.

Now, let's see the progress made this week.

HIVE Power Goal

I've added 133 HIVE Power this week, partially helped by the Upbit pump & dump, of which I talked more at large during the week.

Overall, I powered up 479 HIVE in June, which is still less than I need to.

LEO Staked

I staked more than 100 LEO this week, more exactly, 120. But I need more, something like 167 LEO weekly without counting the compounding effect on curation rewards.

Splintershards (SPS) Staked Goal

Only 1500 SPS staked this week. Tarsa got in the way of staking more this week because I needed to swap some SPS to DEC to be able to have enough for my 62 BCX purchase.

Maxing Chaos Legion Set

) or reaching the limit beyond which I consider upgrading a card not profitable

Overall situation, to better gauge my progress, because I still need to push hard on this goal:

Total CL Cards (incl. reward)Maxed or LimitPercent
1315340.45%
Total CL Cards (excl. reward)Maxed or LimitPercent
983232.65%

This was the week of Tarsa!

I finally (almost) maxed it. I only need a few more level 1 cards to max it, but I don't want to buy them. I'll start opening packs when the airdrop is over, and I'm sure I'll get what I need from there.

In the meantime, I left the unused ones on the rental market.

Social Targets

I started the week with 8620 comments and 8973 replies.

And now I am at 8741 comments and 9097 replies. They are both above my targets of 81 comments and 76 replies weekly to reach 10k of each by the year's end, which is good!
