Hive - Most Innovative Crypto Product Award

Yesterday, after I published my post where I emphasized a probable link between the soaring Hive price and the increasing needs of more Hive, including as SWAP.HIVE for Diesel Pools, I saw another post by the "official" Hive account being shared:

That seemed like a regular "Happy Birthday" post, except one detail.

If you haven't seen it yet, I hope you'll find the news very pleasant, especially if you've been on Hive for quite some time and through enough drama.

Apparently Hive received an award. And an awesome one to have, I believe:

Most innovative crypto product received at ADVFN International Financial Awards 2021.

It is a little bizarre for what started as a social media blockchain to receive the "most innovative crypto product" as an award in the financial world, but that shows how much things have evolved and how much more complex is now Hive as an ecosystem.

But in a way Hive is the first blockchain which combined social media and the financial aspect. Others tried their best to emulate or simply copy the same system, and mostly failed.

Facebook wants to add on top of its immense social media network the financial component, but so far they hit a number of roadblocks, simply because they are too big and powerful.

We are very well positioned here in what I believe will be a trend in the coming years. Either if we think of this from the aspect of censorship resistance or if we regard it from the point of view of combining social media with finances, we are already there. In a place where many others dream of being some day.

I'm not sure what exactly prompted this award, if there are core developments, communities/tribes and our proven proof-of-brain mechanism or developments on the second layer, applications, making connections + developments outside Hive and linking back, etc. Any of them could have been easily the reason for the award.
