Here we are. The second LEO Power Up Day is upon us!

Price, Value, 222 LEO Power-Up

Normally I power up both LEO and HIVE regularly. But I make an exception for this event, as I believe LEO deserves every little push we can offer it to make it great again.

And yes, I'm talking about its price, because otherwise, Leofinance continued to be developed and value was added to it constantly.

The potential to onboard entire communities and have their own place is there. Threads will be added soon, which is a precursor to Project Blank. Leofinance Mobile is working on Android (and waiting on approval for iPhone).

But as we know, there is often a disconnect between the price and value of assets, and LEO makes no exception to this.

There's also the bear market, which keeps prices at the bottom and sometimes drilling down.

Of course, given that I have a staking goal for LEO for the end of this year (10k, currently having 5.8k), a lower price works well for me in the accumulation phase.

And it helps. For example, I stopped powering up my LEO a little over a week ago (if I remember well), thinking that will be enough to have 200 liquid LEO by the power-up day.

I was quite off. This morning I only had 155 LEO unstaked. So I had to sell some other tokens to buy the remaining LEO to reach the minimum of 200 LEO to power up. In the end, I received another round of author rewards today, so I'll power up 222 LEO after all.

So, here it comes:

How Will the Metrics Look Like at the End of This Day?

Last month, LEO Power Up Day was finalized with these numbers:

174,098 Leo Powered up 320 Lions joined 4.2% of the total Liquid Leo was powered up in 24 hours

I wonder which of those metrics we'll be able to beat this month?

After all, the incentive is much higher as well. Participation to #lpud will be one of the conditions to earn a free ticket plus accommodation to the coming HiveFest in September.

Why Am I Powering Up LEO Today?

For me the reasons are simple. First, let's make LEO great again! The words might seem big, but let's not think about who else said something similar and in what context. Leofinance is a small enough community where every single user's contribution matters. And since I use Leofinance A LOT, I continue to do my part.

Then, I have a staking goal for LEO. Powering up more of them helps me in this endeavor. And if you've read my weekly Hive goals posts, you know I'm relentless in pursuing them.

Final Words

Looking forward to seeing what the results at the end of the day will be. I only looked now how much I powered up last month: 257.317 LEO. If I had been inspired to check that a while back, I would have strived to power up a little more this month. Maybe next month then.
