Time for another progress report for my Hive goals.

As a regular reminder, my Hive goals for 2022 are:

  • 25000 Hive (Power)
  • 5000 HBD

broken down into 1029 Hive and 406 HBD monthly. I have weekly guidelines too, but what is important are the monthly and yearly goals.

We had an interesting week last week, bloody towards the end.

I expected (and still do) some more diving before we hit the bottom, that's why I pushed more into HBD this week (again), instead of trying to catch the falling knife. I bought HIVE every day of the week, in small chunks, but ended up below the guideline, for the second week in a row.

I am now very close to hit the monthly HBD target (only 65 HBD left), but the monthly HIVE goal is at risk, needing 393 HIVE in a little over a week. Last week I added 135 HIVE, so what I need is almost triple.

I am a bit torn about what to do. If we entered a bear market, it is still a good time to keep adding on the HBD, even if that means not achieving the HIVE monthly goal. As the price of HIVE moves to lower thresholds, more of it can be earned by creating content, and also it becomes profitable to switch author rewards to HIVE-only instead of 50%/50%.
