At the end of 2023, at the initiative of @leogrowth (in this post), a challenge was thrown to the lions. To set and follow through on one or more Leofinance-related goals for 2023.

Since I am a goal-oriented person, I decided to participate, and this is my initial post.

So, my goal is to reach 22500 LEO staked at the end of 2023, which breaks down to 1000 LEO monthly.

The challenge also mentions it is a good idea to post a progress update at the beginning of every month, until the 5th. I started in January, although that was a bit too soon after the challenge started.

I started the year with 10500 LEO staked.

Compared to last year, when the LEO staking goal was a relatively easy target, I wanted to make it a little more challenging this year.

After two months it seems I have succeeded in doing that, maybe even more than I desired.

So, here's what things looked like on March 1st, with my monthly guideline of 1000 LEO staked achieved, again, for the second month in a row:

I needed to be at 12500 on March 1st if I were to respect the monthly guidelines and I made an effort to be there. Particularly, in the short month of February, I would have fallen behind by about 300 LEO, an amount I decided to purchase during the last two weeks of the month.

700 LEO compared to 1000 would have been a significant difference and I didn't want to allow such a gap to be created so early.

What I'd really like would be to have a month where the earnings from the author and curation rewards (since they are the variable ones), plus the more predictable daily dividends, really cover the entire thousand LEO that I have in plan to stake every month.

March is a long month, so I want to see how much they would amount to, without any purchases at all.

I find myself inhibited to write every silly thing on #threads (Twitter was never my thing), but I do try to use it every day, at least a little bit. I don't always succeed. I seem to be more comfortable commenting on a few of other people's threads than posting something of my own, other than sharing my post, and even that I stopped doing every day because it seemed abusive, especially now, when there is no filtering.
