It was an eventful weekend for anyone waiting for the Ragnarok game or the SPK Network in the Hive ecosystem.

SPK Network - LARYNX Power Up & Delegation Coming Soon

First, on Saturday, @starkerz shared this tweet in SPK Network's discord server:

Looks like soon we will have the first two use cases for LARYNX miners, other than locking them as node operators.

The two new use cases will be to power up LARYNX tokens for tier 1 SPK rewards or to power up and delegate your LARYNX to node operators, for tier 2 SPK rewards.

Tier 3 SPK rewards are reserved for node operators themselves, who lock tokens on their own node.

If you're looking for a way to power up and delegate your tokens right now, I believe you'll need to hold on. I searched for those options myself before I noticed the word "soon". So, it's a teaser for now, but it's coming...

Ragnarok Alpha Testing Weeks Away

Later the same day, an official post published by the Ragnarok game account made the following invitation:

The game's development is going smoothly, and we are getting close to a phase where we can invite many users to test the game. But first, we want to make a closed Alpha test with experienced gamers who have experience in Chess, Poker, and PVP games like Splinterlands and Heartstone and have a lot of patience to test.

Those interested who think they have the necessary experience and time to test are invited to fill in a form. You can check it out on the post linked above.

We learned from @theycallmedan's tweet that only 9 alpha testers will be selected in the first phase.

I applied too. I surely would love a sneak peek at the game, but I know as a tester I'll have to do my best to find bugs or something that needs to be improved, rather than have fun. Although the fun/excitement element should be a factor to consider because a boring game won't attract players or spectators.

If you don't want to apply for this shortlist of alpha testers, it's ok. From their wording looks like the public testing phase won't be too far out.

Can you feel it? The excitement is growing, despite the bear market! And remember, we will soon enough have the Ragnararok NFT drops, and with them (or soon after) the revealing of art and stats.
