This is the weekly update on the progress of SplinterGlossary.

What Is SplinterGlossary?

SplinterGlossary is that section of LeoGlossary that defines a glossary of inter-linked terms and definitions for Splinterlands. LeoGlossary is focused on financial, general crypto, but also including Hive and Leofinance terms and definitions, banking terms, and a series of specific lists.

Numbers of the Week

There are currently 144 terms in the SplinterGlossary, 6 more than at the last update. I'll talk about plans to add more terms later on.

We are up to 121 definitions written for SplinterGlossary, 20 more since the last update, exactly as planned last week.

Some Details

I've been all over the place this week. Mainly picking and choosing what definitions to add. Some of them were the lowest-hanging fruits, as I didn't have enough energy to tackle more complicated ones.

Here are a few definitions I want to highlight here:

Plans for Next Week

Almost all the remaining definitions should be added by next week, maybe all of them if I push it and don't add more terms.

Here's where I have some doubts. There are at least 2 definitions with a considerable number of terms (abilities and rulesets).

I'm not sure whether I should add them to the glossary main menu or leave them on the respective pages and only add a mention to the main menu next to Abilities and Rulesets, that a number of new definitions are linked inside.

My reasoning is that if the main menu page grows, it's harder to parse by a human. I know from experience with LeoGlossary, which is much larger than SplinterGlossary.

I'd rather keep the main menu shorter, and make these lists on a second-tier page (i.e. Abilities and Rulesets).

What do you think? Does it make sense?

The difference is there's a click more to do, both for humans and for search engines.

Final Words

Remember that the success or not of this project depends a lot on the contribution of others. When you use terms defined in SplinterGlossary in your Splinterlands/gaming posts, it would be great if you'd link them to those definition posts.

Also, if you notice something wrong in any of the defined terms, please let me know in these weekly updates.
